Richard fairly often interacted with the site, bitched about us, and was clearly intensely bitter about his coverage here, and it arguably had a lot to do with the events that led to him being ousted from SA and permabanned.

Julie Terryberry killed herself after being abandoned by the troon boyfriend she'd previously threatened to kill herself over. Chloe Sagal killed herself and explicitly gave a reason for it that wasn't us. And the Byuuicide never happened.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, none of those were even close to this site's fault, so I'm just used to it getting unfairly blamed for deaths that weren't even close to related. Hell, the Byuu death LARP doesn't even have a real body, just a cheapass urn. And Kiwis even got blamed by TLL for Lizzy Waite's death, when it was more likely related to the eternal "ring....ring...ring" of unanswered calls to TLL.

But, still, Richard could have gone the Tyler the Creator/Great Humongous route and just walked away. Seems to have worked for Ali Rapp and others? But attention whores and Internet addicts just can't help themselves, I guess. The spinal thing though seems like a pretty significant part of it. If I had to choose, I would absolutely prefer the old sites of the web quietly dying out as their owners moved on, instead of all that internet history being collectively owned by Google or Amazon or some soulless advertising agency. I think they mean best case scenario for Lowtax would have been selling the site for millions of dollars at its peak and riding off into the sunset.

Depends on what you mean by "best case scenario". It would have been the best case for Lowtax because he could gotten 8 figures back in the mid-aughts and if he just bought basic bitch annuities with it he could have moved to Thailand and just paid a new ladyboy ever week to let him sniff their feet. He wouldn't have been cucked off his own forums, would have only needed to pay childsupport to Megan, and wouldn't have had his life ruined and DV charges.
