What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
9:40.

I don't know how I didn't see the warning signs earlier, but anybody who takes Jim Sterling whining about how he spent money on some Rick and Morty mobile game seriously is not someone I am going to spend my time watching.

(Showing the ugly trannies didn't help either.)

SomeCallMeJohnny. People at Sonic Retro seem to have a fondness for this dude, so i decided to see what his deal was. Autism aside, his videos are ok-ish, nothing too groundbreaking, sometimes even imitating people that have done the whole "video game reviewer" better than him.

I forget which video specifically he said this on, but he decided to spew this shit in the beginning of one of them

Afterwards I just gave up watching his shit, cold turkey.

Even worse is when this fat faggot decided to tell you to mask up after every video. Jesus fucking christ, can you just keep the dialogue to platformers and rpg's please?

There were warning signs with Linkara that I ignored, but finally on one video he started saying, "Trigger Warning!" unironically, and he also refused to show certain comic panels because he found them offensive. I was done.

Guru Larry recommended this other British guy named Slopes, so I was subscribed for a while, despite his huge pro-Sega, anti-Nintendo bias. Then in one video at the height of George Floyd hysteria, Slopes started the video with a black screen and kept repeating, "Black. Lives. Matter." over and over again. I was not having it.

Actually, there have been countless YouTubers that decided to go political that I had to drop.

Tried checking out Plagued Moth after seeing him mentioned here. Watched his gay conversion therapy video and about halfway through he goes into this little woke speech about “fuck you! You’re straight you have no right to an opinion! My wife is bi! My brother is gay! My daughter is pan!”

His daughter is like 3 or 4 by the way. Feel like there’s grooming going on

ralphthemoviemaker's last review on Atop the Fourth Wall. He posted it just moments ago.

When a dude starts a video with so little energy and passion, no comedy, and no real insight to give, it's time to pack it up. I have been watching him less and less lately, but that kind of sealed the deal to me, he's never going to produce quality content again now that he's in his twenties.

I left most of the "angry reviewers" because they pretty much went over everything worth seeing and couldn't make an interesting video with niche/new content.
Linkara in particular had multiple patreon videos that were just gushing about geek shit, What's even the point in giving too popular content to an angry critic?
Jim Sterling just repeated himself (and he still does), plus he had terrible taste in video games.
Recently I unsubbed from game theory because Matpat through the FNAF guy under the bus so genderspecials can have the rotting carcass of the franchise. Dude, this guy's work fucking bought you your ghastly mansion, what the fuck?

Explore With Us started out as a father and cute daughter exploring random abandoned towns. Then they got really popular by helping find some schizophrenic businessman's body after accidently coming across his hideout and replaced the exploring with reading true crime mysteries in front of the camera. They recently opened a second channel and claimed they were coming back as explorers, but it was just a ruse for dad to show off the sports car he bought with his YouTube money. Sell-out doesn't begin to describe them.

The "we're running out of wi-fi" video was enough for me to never watch an Extra Credits episode again.
From what I understand, they've only gotten worse and have spread their 100 IQ near-literacy to historical topics as well.
Do you have a link? I looked on YT but couldn't find it.

Same here. I enjoyed Slopes for about a year or so up until his BLM sperg out. What's sad is that he was never political before that, so that video just appeared out of nowhere as an obvious bandwagon approach to cash in on a trend. Unfortunately for him, that video was slammed with negatively, and his subsequent videos failed to garner an audience. His newer videos don't really get many views.

I wonder how his Patreon got hit because he doesn't seem concerned about views, and guru Larry hasn't done much with him after that either

I haven't watched InRange TV except for the odd gear review since Ian left. The specific video was a few months after Ian stopped doing the monthly Q&A during Covid and Karl said some bullshit like "why are we taking the scientific issues of masking/lockdowns/etc. and making them political?" and that's when I realized that he was a moron and his opinion on pretty much anything was worthless.

We have a Guntuber thread for those interested in more drama. Karl is a confirmed hate-browser and that just makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

I watched a few of Matt McMuscles "What happened?" videos. He seemed like a chill guy, his voice was a bit annoying but it's not a deal breaker. So I decided to watch one of his videos about Spider-Man games. Within the first minute he starts shrieking like a soy golem who just got gifted a Nintendo Switch by his wife's bull. I turned it off and never looked back.

It wasn't one video exactly but I enjoyed hbomberguy/contra/shaun videos years ago but stopped watching anything from that whole clique when they went all in on politics and SJW shit. Videos dunking on dating gurus and MRAs are funny, preaching at me for 40min about how woke trans communism will save the world is not and getting your political opinions from youtubers is cringe and gay.

Actually, I lie, with hbomberguy it was one video. I think it was the webcomic one which wasn't totally political but this motherfucker was so high on his own farts I couldn't watch anything else he put out. The dipshit took like 20min of spraying his pseudointellectual diarrhoea to say the same thing yahtzee did in a 3min humorous video like 5 years before.

Most of my Youtube-ing is fitness/gym related. I get my other content elsewhere. That said:

Joe Rogan. Stopped watching when he outed himself over the years as a flip-flopping backstabber who was content to parrot whatever his guest was saying. Shit-tier content through and through.

Thor. Once he quit strongman, I seriously couldn't give a fuck.

Eddie Hall. Same as above.

There are many more, but those came to mind first.

I still watch this channel but I lost a lot of respect for them when they made this video which was basically trying to present their own online drama as some scary video with a shit anti-bullying message as they do a Hotline Miami LARP with a fucking tard thinking they are cool

I've almost dropped Monster Island Buddies a couple of times in the past few months. There were a few days in a row where he posted a few seconds long videos where did the vaccine coomplier "get fucking vaxxed!" Shit where he seemed to be getting legitimately mad about people being wary of the vaccine. I just wanted to watch a full grown man talk about Godzilla toys. It seems his videos weren't well received and removed them, they were scrubbed from his channel last I checked. There was also a tranny flag he had on one of the led monitors he had on in the background of one of his more recent videos, but I don't think I would have noticed it if I wasn't so painfully aware of it.

As for actually dropped, I dropped Jim when he became the Corona panic/streamer man. I dropped Mauler when he started doing 12 hour podcasts almost exclusively, and I dropped a ton of YT horror channels when they started to focus on ARGs instead of creepy videos and horrible crimes.

I gave up on Todd in the Shadows once Trump won 2016. His shitty Twitter opinions started leaking into his content, specifically his "Worst Songs of 2016" vids where he showed clips of Trump winning and started acting like a doomer. And to think he used to be one of the better spergs from Channel Autism.
