M855 is fmj, and it's usually one of the cheaper options. Plus the 62 grain bullet works better with some twist rates. If you have an ar, odds are your either shooting 55 grain m193 or 62 grain m855. I believe the m193 had better slightly better wounding characteristics, but it's a relatively moot point.

Well, yes, but it also has a steel penetrator, it isnt just a copper-jacketed lead bullet. (If I'm mistaken then please let me know.)

For the lawsuits afterwards:

Grosskreutz has no money. Blood from a stone.

The media and the city are prime targets for a big lawsuit. The city for blatant negligence in not maintaining law and order and the media for the same exact reason the smiling Maga hat kid a few years ago.

The 223 fragmentation vs 9mm is fuddlore bullshit. 9mm are more likely to overpenetrate unlike 223's. If we were talking something like M855's, then you may have a point. But simple 223 55 grain? Nah man.
I never said 223 will overpenetrate compared to 9mm.

And the yaw/fragmentation is absolutely a thing, unless Paul Harrell meat target and gel tests are all a lie.

All comes down to caliber. Is a 223 fired from a rifle more powerful than say a 9mm round fired from a pistol? A 9mm FMJ is more likely going to bounce around someone's cavity than a 223 flying straight through.
Well .223 is just a rifle based .22 at the end of the day. Nothing really noteworthy at all. That's basically a baby bullet if we really wanna cut it down to laymens terms. But y'know, it's the same as any news reporter going "the shooter had an assault rifle with a high capacity clip". It's a "rifle" and it's scary. It's all thin, surface level veneer meant to gloss over the actual facts. It's not that it is scary, or any more threatening than a handgun, its the fact that its not a handgun, despite rifles being more competition and recreational based than going to the pistol range on occasion.

Remember, it's all about optics with these snakes. "Nooo, don't look any deeper!". They're trying to play off how dumb the average person is. Thing is, I've seen more than a few people admit to their eyes being opened ever since this trial went public, especially on Twitter, funnily enough. Maybe that's optimistic, but the Pros are grasping at straws really badly, and it's showing.
