When I bought it a few years ago, a big box of Lake City green tip was cheap as shit. Not ANYMORE, but...

Does Lake City rebox milsurp or something? Maybe I'm just being exceptional, I just assumed that m855 would generally be more expensive thanks to its construction being a little more complex than a "plain" copper-jacketed FMJ.

Also: Hopefully ammo prices go down for you again soon... A friend of mine in Maine is constantly complaining about how absurdly hard it is to get round even today.

I'm about five minutes behind but the defence just used the proseuctors own claim that Kyle's rifle was pressed up against someone's chest against them by saying it can't be reckless endangerment as the bullet couldn't go astray.

Gah, I'm getting nervous on behalf of Kyle now. I kind of wish this was being resolved today to minimize the chances of the jury being swayed by outside threats or media coverage.

The barrel length is a huge contributor to velocity. There are charts that explains the FPS of a bullet exiting out of a barrel. Look up 223 velocity barrel charts.
I understand, but what it has to do with the case?

Thanks for the respond, @MarkDebbermann!

Also LMAO "the burden of the proof was on you" no patience with bullshit out-of-ass "evidence"

"Judge, help me out here. My heart's about two years from exploding, I'm losing my hair faster than Brendan Frasier circa 2011, I haven't had a sandwich in almost eight minutes, I can't even walk up stairs, and the trial that was supposed to make my career has fallen into ruins while people on live chats keep saying 'I can't sneed'. I get that I'm asking for you to ignore the basic premise of proof in court, but just help a brotha out."

Lake City is government owned, but operated by a civilian contractor. I think it's ATK atm, but I'm not sure. They sell the surplus, but other companies make it for the civilian market as well.

Well .223 is just a rifle based .22 at the end of the day. Nothing really noteworthy at all. That's basically a baby bullet if we really wanna cut it down to laymens terms. But y'know, it's the same as any news reporter going "the shooter had an assault rifle with a high capacity clip". It's a "rifle" and it's scary. It's all thin, surface level veneer meant to gloss over the actual facts. It's not that it is scary, or any more threatening than a handgun, its the fact that its not a handgun, despite rifles being more competition and recreational based than going to the pistol range on occasion.

Remember, it's all about optics with these snakes. "Nooo, don't look any deeper!". They're trying to play off how dumb the average person is. Thing is, I've seen more than a few people admit to their eyes being opened ever since this trial went public, especially on Twitter, funnily enough. Maybe that's optimistic, but the Pros are grasping at straws really badly, and it's showing.
This is why the prosecution kept bringing out the rifle to show it to the jury.

BIG SCARY GUN, VERY SCARY, BAD PEOPLE USE BIG SCARY GUN. KYLE BAD.

That was the point in bringing out the rifle, prey on the media brainwashing about how scary rifles are.

Oh I see what you're saying. I have no idea honestly. Since they're trying to argue that Kyle had a short barrel rifle even though he didn't, I guess they're trying to suggest that a SBR is somehow more deadly? I have no fucking idea.

Legally, the only thing I can see barrel length having to do with this case is if it was under the federally mandated sixteen inches. Then it would be a felony for anyone to have without a SBR stamp. It's the prosecutor's dumbass fault for not measuring it.

Couldn't a left wing activist judge in another state could point to a ruling against Rittenhouse as judicial precedent in a future similar case?
people can do whatever crazy shit they want but it wouldn't stand on appeal

a ruling in Wisconsin isn't precendent in another state
