Let's face it. This isn't the weirdest Haachama-related shit by a long shot

I'd love to see her (or any chuuba, really) to do a watchalong of the movie Perfect Blue, just to see the reaction. Bonus points if there's drinking involved.

That was in all honesty a really informative podcast ep, I actually encourage people to honestly give this single episode a chance and wash out the 1st time she came on. They covered many topics we discussed about on the regular and it was great to see the more "behind the scenes" sort of stuff just being casually talked about. Anyone just shitting on the whole TT collab, is just being stubborn or just being a wanker. I get they boys have their moments now, but this time it was just really great content.
so outside of
Connor talking out of his ass most of the time
I'll put it on my to watch over the weekend playlist

Gura just spent ten minutes trying to get out her iPad's Guided Access restrictions to try to fix audio issues. During this time the thing stubbornly refused to restart and when she finally gave up and decided to live with the scuff it sorta-kinda fixed itself.

The EN curse works in mysterious ways.

Has anyone been shitting on this trash taste collab? Maybe my eyes just gloss over it, but it feels like more people are complaining about people complaining.
I distinctly remember some salt the last time they popped up so it's a preemptive concern so far. I can guess what's happening on imageboards already even without looking - and it will likely spill here.

At least shitting on chicken tends to be funny and somewhat justified. TT are annoying anitubers (and Connor is an obnoxious idiot) but that's pretty much it.

I missed the first half (had to do some work) and I can still say I 100% agree. Everyone played off of each other really well and the chemistry was good. Calli talking about behind the scenes things was insightful, plus we got child Calli lore. Calli had some wise and intelligent things to say, especially that thing about how working hard doesn't guarantee success. And the guys had a couple of smart things to say to, like the stuff about jobs.

I kinda was expecting it before it aired just given how it went last time. /vt/ might be salty but well at this point they just always are and I don't give enough of a damn to go look through their autism myself.

Just finished it though and real talk, It was just really enjoyable and interesting and I actually look forward to Calli going back on in the future. Her being a lot more comfortable with streaming and being a vtuber made such a massive difference in the mood and feeling of the podcast compared to last time.

How many more times are you insufferable fucking faggots gonna keep bringing up Pippa's joke.
It's been over 20 fucking pages
I say we can do 100 pages of it.

Okay I take back what I said, I think this girl actually has a much deeper range than we've seen, but she does legit seem to get so shy and embarrassed that it limits her voice. Heard a couple points in the last few songs where one could peek through and hear a deeper range but as soon as she remembered she was singing in front of people at 3 am her voice cracked.
Gonna try to catch the torrent.

At the end of her last stream, kson forgot to turn off the stream.
Don't want to simp too hard but damn she's beautiful. (had not seen her in a while)

I still think 6th gen is not going to appear anytime soon, ID3 is the only one scheduled, PROBABLY another vsinger
I wonder if they would try to have a male talent in the ID3 branch as a way to test the waters (given how ID seems to be a sort of Beta test). Imagine having someone like Bobon but in hololive with the added bonus of being someone who can speak all 3 languages.

I guess the people desperately claiming Hololive was keeping Trash taste at arms length are gonna be spending a few pages trying to cope now
Heh. Gonna give this a few hours before the autism starts.

After 501 days since its release, Shalys has reached 1 million views.
Shame it took so long. It is a great song.

Damn I thought it was safe to go to bed during Mumei's guerilla archived practice karaoke, since it was already super late and I could just watch it later. Then she has to bust out another ~2 hour guerilla unarchived karaoke right after! Grabbed the file from a place and started watching it. Already sad I missed Landslide live, thought her voiced matched well with stevie nicks since she did Dreams last time and was hoping she'd do more fleetwood mac songs. Looking forward to more songs as I get time to watch the rest.

Speaking of guerilla karaoke, did anyone mention Gura? During her last member's karaoke stream she wasn't feeling good and had a hard time getting through it. Seems like during her last few scheduled karaoke streams she has ended up not feeling well but felt like she had to go through with it since it was on her schedule. So she's going to just try to do some guerilla karaoke when she feels she good and really wants to in the future.

As for Kronii, at least with the songs of hers I've watched, I wasn't too impressed. Maybe it is just the songs I like and bothered to check out, she doesn't do well. Or maybe it is just my bias against her, but I'm not a fan. Not into the narcissistic, self-centered thing or the deeper voice. Frankly the circlejerk of loving her so much on reddit and even here gets grating sometimes! =) I guess this is how it feels to not like the most popular one (in council at least) and get tired of seeing everyone else fawn over them. I realize my tastes aren't the same as everyone else, so I just bite my tongue and not shit all over them just to be contrarian. It would be pretty silly of me to do so since I'm sure there are tons of people who feel the same about Gura, who is probably as close to an oshi as I have.
I do feel like Mumei is the most popular even if her subs are not the highest. Similar to how Pekora is the most popular girl even though she's at #3 in subcount.

Not the most recent one I have but it shows more. She's not flat but definitely not Noel-tier.

Cute. Should paint her hair the Moona color and cut it short like her new model.

That's odd, because by most metrics I see Kronii is the most popular. She has far more subscribers than any of the other council members with 100K more than the next and I think her count continues to climb faster than the others still. She made like 2x as much in SC during her SC opening stream. Doesn't she continue to have the highest SC and viewers also? Looking at playboard Kronii has 2x total as much in SC than the next highest council member (who I was surprised to see was Sana). Also it just felt like there was tons of threads and posts on her in reddit and elsewhere, especially back during debut and for the next month or so. Maybe it has leveled off since then and evened out a bit more, but still quite a lot it feels like.

(Sorry to numberfag but just wanted to prove my point on why I say she is the most popular in council.)
I feel like Mumei still appeals to a wider audience (as stated before I still don't get her appeal).

Playing it in the background right now and Calli is definitely much more comfortable and at ease conversing back and forth with the TT guys. Way better than the cringefest of her first guest stint - which was mired with lore and her general nervousness/unfamiliarity with the format.

Her using the casual track jacket model is way better for optics too. Mudan (their video editor) also deserves a lot of credit for the great job splicing her model seamlessly - especially with her hair and the BG:

Helps when you know the people a bit more and you have been doing the whole vtuber thing for more than a year. First time she had been doing this for how long? 4? 5? months.

God i fucking love her. She says the worst shit and its great. She wouldn't have made it in Hololive. She also calls out clippers.

Oh God, no. I just keep to here. I thought people were saying others were freaking out on here and it seemed pretty chill to me.
Give it a few days.

I can't reply to you for some reason but a male in Hololive would be an epic disaster. Even if people liked him it would turn Holostars into the bastard child (not that they already aren't).

I think an intergration of Hololive and Holostars would be the only solution but I just don't think it'd fly in Japan, idol culture would kill a lot of the success of the current Hololive girls because "male near muh pure waifu" and shit like that. They tried some collabs a while back, but less so recently which tells me they've eased off intergration and have decided it isn't worth it.

Holostars is kinda just stuck where they are, they aren't popular enough for Cover to consider folding them in with the rest of Hololive, but said separation limits their popularity in the first place. Though I suppose if they do start growing significantly, Cover would see that as a sign that their current system is fine, so yeah, integration is very unlikely.

Hololive is an idol agency, and the talents are labelled as such by Cover themselves. They're a very effective idol agency, at that. Having separate branches for girls and guys mimics "irl" idol agencies, which have separate girl and guy groups. Unfortunately for Holostars, male vtubing does not have a huge audience, unlike male idols, and what audience exists is mostly going to Niji (though that being said, the Holostars guys are still doing much better than most indies, of course). Male idols appeal mostly to female fans, and vtubing as a whole has just never made big inroads with a female audience - even the big Nijis like Kuzuha and Kanae have predominantly male fanbases.

Truth be told I think Holostars have been given the short end of the stick. They could have flown high if they had been intergrated from day one, but in following the traditional model they've managed to fuck up both Holostars chances at greater success and more money for Cover. Even after Cover promised to allow greater intergration and unbanned collabs between the two groups, they've been kept to a minimum which makes me think they've basically just banned it again internally.
