Not all animals make for good disease reservoirs (at least for people). Dogs can contract human influenza, but they can't spread it to people like pigs or many birds can. Update on my illness; I’ve made pretty much a full recovery from my cold, I just have a slight cough left. Is it possible the vaccine is designed to break your immunity to COVID down but not your entire immune system? This would certainly explain the lab results showing adaptive immunity decreasing and innate immunity increasing to compensate, which is the exact opposite of what you want a vaccine to do. It also might explain the CD4+ and CD8+ deficiency seen in COVID-19 infections. The lymphocytes that are there are exhausted because they're not being replenished, because the virus itself directly inhibits their production.
