US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

So at this point:
* Biden succumbs to dementia and forgets who he is in 1 year
* Biden gets impeached, but instead of giving up the dems double down and US turns into a military state

My bet is him resigning after he gets #MeToo hard.

If that happens, the democrats will be fucked forever that they had a pervert as president.

It's over. "Shade War" is now canonized by the Cathedral.

History is full of examples of the most likely outcome when a large portion of the population is singled out and demonized constantly,
Funny story about that, actually:

And how did the usual suspects react? About what you'd expect.

Slapping a yellow star onto yourself to protest mask mandates is pretty distasteful but I think that last image is pretty much the dictionary definition of a self own. Way to prove to them that their fears are justified.

No.
Never forget it was Republicans who gave us the Patriot Act.
If Vice President Joe Biden decides to enter the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, his past positions -- including on trade bills, the Iraq War, the repeal of Glass-Steagall, and changes to welfare -- are sure to draw the ire of the party's liberal base.

Much has already been made about Biden's instrumental role as a senator pushing through the 1994 crime bill -- "a bill that made the problem worse" according to former President Bill Clinton, who signed it into law.

Another potential sticking point for liberals: Biden not only voted for the 2001 Patriot Act, he, on many occasions, claimed credit for writing it.

"I drafted a terrorism bill after the Oklahoma City bombing," Biden was quoted as saying by the New Republic in 2001.

"And the bill John Ashcroft sent up was my bill," Biden continued, referring to the Patriot Act. The act broadened the surveillance capabilities of U.S. law enforcement agencies as it relates to identifying potential terrorists, and many of its provisions have been opposed by liberal Democrats and civil libertarians.

It wasn't the first time Biden took credit for the Patriot Act . On Meet the Press that same year, he made similar comments referring to the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995.

"I introduced the terrorism bill in '94 that had a lot of these things in it," Biden again said.

"The devil's in the details. For example, you talked about the Internet. We can get a (inaudible), we can go now, if you are in the mob, and we can find out who you called -- not the content of the conversation. We can get your telephone log. Well, they want to be able to get essentially that log off the Internet."

"It depends on -- the difference here is whether just getting what web sites you hit and the content of what you got," he continued. "You hit amazon.com, that's OK. They want to find out what books you read, that's not OK. So the devil's in the details here, and we're working those through."

On another occasion in 2002, when the FBI director was testifying before Congress, Biden said not only that he wrote the 1994 act, but Attorney General John Ashcroft called him to say it was basically the same as the bill they were introducing.

"Civil libertarians were opposed to it," Biden said. "Right after 1994, and you can ask the attorney general this, because I got a call when he introduced the Patriot Act. He said, 'Joe, I'm introducing the act basically as you wrote it in 1994.'"

"It was defeated then not by any liberals," added Biden. "It was defeated then by the folks who were worried we'd have the Minutemen, would get in trouble. By the Mr. Barr's of the world, who were worried about the right-wing, not anything else."

"That has nothing to do with you all, but just to set the record straight. Almost the same thing that got passed, the Patriot Act, was introduced by me in 1994, and it was the right-wing that defeated it. You guys tried to help get it passed, including the wiretap changes and the rest."

edit: Also most of the domestic surveillance provisions introduced in USA Patriot Act were allowed to expire specifically because Trump said that he would veto any attempt to extend them after the FISA court was abused to spy on his political campaign. So, even if the Neocons of Bush days pushed the bill, the modern Republican party told them to stuff it up their ass back in 2019.

The Infrastructure Bill unsurprisingly has don't jack shit to Biden's approval.

Most people know it’s a giant grift. Any benefits that might be seen will take 5 + years. Meanwhile where all getting rammed with inflation right now.

It wouldn’t surprised if Biden continues leading us to a economic crash in two years, especially with how high the inflation is right now.
The economy is roaring back stronger than ever.* After all, Yang did say the economy chose an election winner in Biden.** What are you talking about?

*First, LMAO
*Second, LMFAO

Try next year . You are heading there like right now all i see is reprisal of 2007/2008 crash with a side of empty shelfs .

It’s going to be exactly like the 2007/2008 crash, maybe even worse.
Its worse i think is the end of American empire and the dollar if not this one then something like beginning of the end i expect usa to start retreating and getting all their troops home . Afghanistan was just the beginning. There is already blood in the water and various rivals are pushing in what is considered american sphere of influence.

Well we had a good run of... 70 years or so I guess...

Someone woke up from the TDS coma to see what was going on. I will be very surprised if they don't cave to outside pressure and retract.

The next republican to get in needs to use the FBI and other agencies as they have been designed: to go after political enemies. The only way we get common sense glowie control is if a republican admin properly uses the weapons the democrats have created.
fhey dont care about project veritas. they care about trump 2024 and the precedent being set under biden.

There really isn't any currency that can replace the petrodollar yet. No matter how bad things get, people need gas and oil, and if OPEC switches to euros (which were also being printed ad nauseum to pay people not to work) or even lulzier, yuan, then the USA pulls its naval support for the world's trade corridors and it's a new golden age of piracy. Hell, I think that sounds pretty fun!

The US dollar is for all practical purposes backed by the US military. All of the dollars being held overseas by US rivals and neutrals as a hedge and a necessity to buy oil will be dumped when we suffer a major military defeat. Such a defeat is inevitable if the white rednecks who make up the most competent killers are purged from our military.

My guess is China will sink a US carrier group, and then intimidate Taiwan into submission or attempt their spin on a color revolution there, as we did in Hong Kong.

With drones it wouldn't take much - Iran could blow up ships in our naval bases in the Arabian peninsula, and strike ground forces until they surrender. Biden left thousands of American hostages in Afghanistan with who knows what sort of intelligence, imagine what Iran could do with tens of thousands of US military hostages.

A major military defeat would not just crash the US economy, it would also embolden succession and revolutionary movements in the USA, which would further distract the US military from overseas affairs. Without the US military protecting them, Taiwan, the various Sunni kingdoms in the Arabian pensinsula, Israel, and probably Egypt are either under siege, cut off from resupply by sea and maybe air, fighting insurgencies, or invaded. This would lead to refugee movements from Israel and the Sunni Kingdoms to Europe and the USA, which would further destabilize them.

Russia would probably invade Ukraine again without the USA, and maybe take a few chunks from neighboring non-NATO states, because you can't join NATO if you don't control all your territory. So there are more refugees.

In the short term, the USA is dealing with a global supply chain crisis due to the lockdowns and nationalist trade policies in China and other nations to which people like Mitt Romney sold our manufacturing base. We're also dealing with a national supply chain crisis because people are quitting rather than get vaccines, and because the lockdowns gave everyone time to figure out off-the-books income and the motivation to never work shit jobs again.

The federal government's refusal to govern well, and inability to delegate what it can't do to those who can (state and local governments), is causing a crisis of legitimacy that will have one of three outcomes:
  1. States secede from the union and form their own unitary states.
  2. States form a parallel inter-state government, probably a weak federation or confederation.
  3. States simply ignoring the federal government to some degree and maybe refusing to pay federal taxes or stealing federal property or that owned by hated outsiders (Bill Gates, Amazon, Black Rock, Democrats in general).
This will of course be challenged by the feds and by blue state regions and the non-productive intermediary classes, but given that they are actively undermining their own authority and that of their law enforcement and military proxies, I don't see them doing much besides a few massacres and terror bombings before their supply chains are cut, they run out of fuel, and they are left to starve. It's not neccessary to actually put a bullet in the head of every malicious actor because they are totally dependent on the productive classes for survival; cutting them off and letting them starve to death is simple, easy, cheap, and morally appropriate.

I think that one or more states will form their own currencies as well, to evade hyperinflation of the US dollar and to deal with the feds cutting them off after they refuse to pay federal taxes. This will of course suck for people who depend on federal handouts like social security, veterans disability, and various pensions, but most normal people won't notice much besides their money suddenly being much more valuable and there being very little or no inflation.

All in all I think we'll come out fine, with a much reduced imperial footprint, and probably distant territories under new management (Japan gets our Pacific islands and becomes a naval empire again to contain China) or independent (probably Alaska). Life will suck in the near term of now to 5 years, but be much better 10 years from now.

You can't claim that Trump is enacting a Holocaust and making concentration camps by creating border facilities and then get mad that other people see Holocaust similarities too. It's either verboten and should never be used as a comparison, or you just want the precious victim status for yourselves.

WEALTH, FAME, POWER, Gold Rodger the King of the Pirates attained everything this world has to offer, The words he uttered before his death drove people to the seas

"Lets go Brandon"

And so Men head to the Grand Line in pursuit of their dreams, The World has truly entered a great pirate era

The nu-left claims a monopoly on what is political (and therefore acceptable) and what is not. Thus it's okay for them to riot and burn down a used car dealership, and for their mayors and Soros-funded DAs to order the police to stand down. But if you go to your workplace and cross state lines to do it, then shoot a pedophile who tried to disarm you while you were protecting your workplace and stopping arson you are not doing politics - you're a terrorist and no better than a rabid dog.

I'm doing politics, you're doing evil.

And then the self-styled centrists come in to patrol the right side of the Overton window, and say that both sides have some good points or that both sides are wrong. They "equate" protecting your workplace with arson, looting, assault, and intimidation of political dissidents.

To some degree this is what the left has really believed all along - new developments are just "mask off" - but a sizable minority of leftists are sincere and not just lumpenproles or degenerated would-be nobility.
