That type really can't stand any perspective that isn't straight-up propaganda. Nothing short of "transition is a smooth process that makes you superior to the rest of the world" will sooth them.

The thing, Eloise is kind of a mess, but still a upper-tier trans. Eloise understands that she can't stay in non-binary-limbo for ever and that she has to make a choice rather than going by xi/xir pronoms. Eloise doesn't report stealing her girlfriend/mother clothes and jerking off to them. Eloise isn't spying on kids and women in the bathroom. Eloise is seen reeling a bit but we don't see her berating low-income workers because they misgendered her, or pretend that she is threatened with violent death everyday... Eloise doesn't pretend to represent "women" in her industry or to know how hard it is to ascend the corporate ladder for a woman (it helps in that regard that Eloise doesn't have a job at all TBH). Eloise isn't trying to join a woman's league in sport while saying that HRT is magical. Eloise doesn't pretend that uterus transplant for MtF are just around the corner and will allow men to gestate or that if women don't lift as much as men for example it's just because women's sport is underfunded.

Eloise is a bit selfish and very very depressed, a bit delusional but Eloise isn't a total deviant, that we know off. As shown in the documentary, at least, Eloise's demeanor is less cringe that 90% of trans reddit.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they cut out a lot that could be negative towards Eloise, but ultimately there has to be a narrative that makes sense. It's like how I Am Jazz started off as a "Jazz is just a normal girl with a medical issue" show and then slowly but surely descended into a piece of peak trans propaganda.
