I agree partly, but this is different in a few different ways from Floyd. The issue for me is that it was never about the facts, that's why I'm still doomposting.
The facts are pretty clear but what matters more is the impact the media has had on the jurors. If this case was truly about the facts chances are Kyle would never have been charged with 1st degree murder. Its all about the politics as per usual.
So it will come down to how much impact all the media attention has on the jury. If they buy the CNN line of Kyle going out to hunt niggers then yah, Kyle's fucked and fucked big time.
Don't let the utterly inept prosecution lull you into a false sense of security, remember how the Chavin trial went. The prosecutors were terrible there too but the jury took almost no time to come back with a guilty charge.
It will happen here too.
It was never about the facts, its all about the narrative.
Firstly, Chauvin came off as unsympathetic though out the trial.
Secondly, the Floyd footage was played over and over again, the optics of the Floyd footage vs this were a hundred times worse for Chauvin
Thirdly, Kenosha isn't left wing and is a purple county.
And finally, the Prosecution in the for Chauvin may have been incompetent, but they weren't "If someone is unarmed and smaller than you they aren't a threat." incompetent.
Maybe a conviction is truely in the cards, but I'm confident Kyle is much more likely than not to walk.
