You take the Rouge Squadron comic, you turn it into a show. BOOM, done.
How much more exceptional this industry can get. lol

The original comics are transphobic and because they don't have enough BIPOC making points about modern politics, they are systemically oppressing millions of black and brown bodies while they are erasing Queer BLTQA++ identities as each storyline reinforces the patriarchy by having male characters demonstrate competency and constant digusting male gaze
anyone got a bingo yet?

That's a good point. Having nice things is bad now.

Following the news that Patty Jenkins Star Wars movie has been delayed indefinitely, reports have surfaced suggesting that the move was made due to creative differences between the director and Lucasfilm executives.
Former THR editor and noted insider Matthew Belloni reports that issues between Jenkins and the studio caused the film to be taken off Lucasfilm's production schedule. Specifically, Belloni reports that the issues have revolved around the film's script, stating that Jenkins and studio executives including senior VP Michelle Rejwan couldn't agree on how to move forward.

Belloni states that this is a "laughably recurring problem" at Lucasfilm. According to the article, a number of agents have previously reported that top filmmakers are often keen to sign on for a movie within the franchise, but find themselves hampered by issues of "micromanagement and plot-point-by-committee" processes.

Belloni cites that similar experiences were held by Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss who "bailed" on creating a new Star Wars trilogy as well as Rian Johnson, whose own trilogy was also shelved.

Jenkins' Star Wars film was originally announced in December 2020. Disney revealed at the time that the film would be called Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and that it would be the first title in the franchise to feature a female director. While the title shares its name with a franchise-based video game, Disney confirmed shortly afterward that Rogue Squadron would not be an adaptation and instead would feature its own original story
While little else was known about the film's plot, the future of the film now appears to be far from certain. If production does resume again in the future, it's likely that fans won't see anything from the film for some time yet.
>this is a "laughably recurring problem" at Lucasfilm.

Every fucking movie made Kathleen Kennedy's Lucasfilm has had major production issues starting from The Force Awakens onward. She's a horrible president and an even worse producer/manager. She's unbelievably incompetent and a micromanaging piece of shit. The only reason nobody cared during Episode 7 was because the hype was so incredibly strong and the nostalgia (to the point of rose tinted delusion) was even stronger on top of the marketing machine covering up any major issues the film's production.

Rogue One and Soylo most people already know about but The Last Jedi also had problems stemming from the rushed production, no story plan to speak of (thanks to hacks Abrams and Kasdan not giving enough of a shit to write anything after TFA) and a hipster manchild douchebag director who was way out of his depth dealing with a $200 million dollar film production, which he had never done before, being told that he could do whatever he wanted.

Abrams didn't even want to come back for Episode 9, probably because he didn't like working with her [citation needed], but Bob Iger wanted him back. The fact that they barely went through 2 terrible anthology films and 3 godawful "sequels" before cancelling their theatrical movies shows you how poorly run it all is. Marvel has movies lined up every year for the foreseeable future. Star Wars is now a straight to streaming franchise.

Disney is incredibly lucky that The Mandalorian has been a massive success because the Star Wars franchise would be unbelievably fucked without it. Baby Yoda saved the franchise.

People have wanted Kathleen to get fired for years and they still think she is, but at this point it's too late. I can't be bothered to care anymore. I say fuck 'em, just let it all burn down. She should have gotten kicked after the Rogue One fiasco. Maybe they wouldn't be in this situation right now.

Kennedy might be the most unlucky person ever, hiring big names to make movies just before they put out epic pieces of shit that ruin their reputations forever. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and say she saw Wonder Woman 84 and realized what a hack Patty "ubermilf" Jenkins is without Zack Snyder shadow directing, but what retard puts out a full-length theatrical trailer featuring nothing but a movie's director almost two years before anything's even been shot?

Apparently Kennedy's contract has been renewed.
Doomcock eternally BTFO.

He's probably more angry that he has to try and convert that reality into copium so his assigned flock can still care about Star Wars and to keep his bullshit reputation up. After all, his chipotle coupons from his corporate masters are based on him getting people to still fucking care about this dead-dead franchise and potentially get hatewatch views because of it. Honestly I'm surprised he hasn't just gone pure "rant over a single still image" level lazy yet.

About Padme being Force sensitive, I don't know if it was in the novel or from an early draft of the script but there was a line in AOTC where Yoda outright says she's strong in the Force. Not sure what the point of it was if they weren't going to do anything with her.
It’s actually in the final shooting script, but didn’t make the final cut.

It is very weird that she ends up in that position a lot.

Josh Trank - axed after Fant4stic
Benioff and Weiss - axed after Game of Thrones Season 8
Colin Trevorrow [sorta] - axed after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The only ones I think are otherwise is Lord and Miller, but at that point they alreay started filming.

Something tells me that this might be the downfall of Star Wars on streaming. Remember, after the clusterfucks that were Solo and Rise of Skywalker, Iger explicitly said that they would slow down on Star Wars content, or at least the films. Then The Mandalorian happened and they decided to do the same shit but with streaming, spamming a bunch of content at us, likely resulting in the lack of quality.

This also reiterates how fake this woke brigade at Disney/Lucasfilm is. You hire the woman who directed the Academy Award-winning film Monster, Wonder Woman and its sequel (which sucked ape nuts, but I digress) for the purpose of having a female drector for a Star Wars film, then when she doesn't tow the line, you axe her.

"But...but... Kathleen Kennedy was totally going to be fired this time, I swear,"
I honestly expect Dumbcuck will soon just pretend that this renewal didn't happen within a video or two. He has to keep the copium and hate going, hatewatching is still watching afterall.

It's funny, since he said it best before he needed that money: Apathy is death. You want good Star Wars? Literally let it fucking die.

Ryan Kinel uploaded a video about the renewal of Kennedy’s contract.

7:10 “I will say once again it’s all based od this one thing, but at least this person has a name and a face that we can put behind it and is in the industry and has been right about things like this before.”

7:54 “I caught a little bit of heat at one point for suggesting that maybe people start looking a little more critically at some of these rumours that are coming out about Star Wars. Maybe if they haven‘t been right, then maybe there something going on there.”
