And as I pointed out a few pages back he says the alleged Marshal is IN KENOSHA not IN THE COURTHOUSE
The problem is the only 2 reasons for USMS to be in Kenosha are:
  1. On loan to Sheriff's Department to protect the Judge and the jury If are sequestered.
  2. A team from the Marshal's Special Operations Group to protect the courthouse.
There is no reason for a Deputy Marshal to be in Kenosha and not assigned to the courthouse in some way. That's already a stretch of their duties since it's not a Federal courthouse.

This judge is hilarious. Playing games with the courtroom while waiting for the jury.
I guess people in the courtroom are pretty much stuck as long as the jury doesn't give their result. Playing trivia games at least passes time and releases tension.

This judge is awesome. No bullshit, slimey douchebags trying to get brazen get the belt and he knows that the endless waiting is way too tense, so he breaks it up with a bit of small talk, a silly game. You can tell he's very experienced.

No lawyer does anything for free, they always get -something- out of it. Stop and consider what Barnes was getting out of it.
No, please propose what he might've be getting out of it. Reputation? Warm, fuzzy feeling? I don't care.

I actually subscribe to worldview that everything a person does, does for egotistical purposes, even if the action is described as being "selfless" or "charitable". Hell, I myself worked for a few years as a volunteer in an education institution and did it only because I wanted to. Would you describe me as doing it not-for-free?
