So, with apologies for not saving the image, has anyone bothered to spell out the sheer level of NOT FUCKING OKAY that picture of Binger and the judge represents? Assuming that the local news outlet's assertions are accurate, we have a case of a State prosecutor and a judge from the same district literally sucking each others' dicks. If these two have ever shared a courtroom, it is compromised. Every verdict passed under their watch needs to be thrown out, every conviction needs to be overturned, every prisoner released, every precedent discarded, because this is about as absolutely gross of an ethics violation as you can get. If you live in or close enough to Kenosha that you would be tried in that courthouse, you should be throwing an absolute fucking fit at the Judiciary and Law Committee for allowing this absolute bullshit to happen on their watch.

Not televising your court room or showing trials on TV would help a lot. Your judicial system is part justice, part hollywood and plebs will do anything for 15 minutes of fame.
I disagree. ALL court cases should be televised.
Could you imagine if we had some group of Kiwi level autists watching and documenting how terrible it is? How broken it is? If we couldn't watch this case we'd never have seen how Binger and the fatman intimidated witnesses and tried to infringe of constitutional rights. This is stuff the public needs to know and once upon a time we used to trust the media to tell us.
Now we need schizos on the internet with access to an archive site to do it.

That's a terrible take. If not for that, Kyle wouldn't have the support he has now, nor would people know the truth.
They don't film the jury, they aren't allowed to. It's that for some reason cops aren't beating up protesters outside the courthouse.
The trial is all over the media, he has as much support as he does haters. Twitter are feeding off of this, the talk shows, the papers, it's everywhere.
How much bullshit did the media make up and lie about Kyle? That same media are allowed inside the court room to miscontrue evidence, bend truths and outright lie even more based on what was said. Hell, look at the death threats that the judge has got because he did his job. Threats he wouldn't have received if it wasn't plastered over every blog, reddit page and shitehawk MSM website.

The jurors aren't filmed, but by making trials basically a hollywood drama in themselves, you encourage some people to want to say "I'm a juror on X case" because some people are shallow who want their 15 minutes.

I'm not saying it solves all problems, but removing cameras from the court room would help a great deal

Yeah, I'm gonna need to see this photo.. I have no idea what you're referring to.

They would be lying about it anyway. Keeping cameras out of the courtroom just means that we dont have footage to counter the media's lies.
They'd lie if they weren't even allowed in the same fucking state as a case they're reporting on.

There's a good article who did a quick summary of the Rittenhouse case.

...As you may recall, the prosecution produced the drone footage at the last minute to support the claim that Kyle was waving his rifle around in a way that would provoke other people to engage in self-defense against him. Thus, they argued, Joseph Rosenbaum, who had been setting fires, tried to burn police as they sat in their patrol cars, swung chains at people, and screamed the N-word, was himself acting in self-defense when he told Kyle earlier that he was going to kill Kyle, and then raced after Kyle, corned him in a parking lot, and grabbed for his long gun.

To state the argument is to realize how ridiculous it is. However, it’s consistent with the prosecution’s other argument on closing, which was that anyone who isn’t carrying a gun is not a threat and that the person with a gun should always yield gracefully to a non-gun beating. By contrast, said the prosecution, a gun is inherently a threat. This picture of Reginald Denny, with nothing more, shows how ridiculous the first argument is:

The issue is that court is a generally public affair, anyone has the right to watch it and anyone has the right to be watched. The invention of broadcasted media simply allows this right to be exercised on a national, if not global, scale. To outlaw journalists from recording trials completely would be to outlaw public court, which is not something I would ever want.

Secret trials are the domain of the authoritarian. Justice needs to be public or the system can and will abuse it. Hell they tried to abuse it when they fucking knew we were watching.
The problem is that the public is fucking retarded. So you're stuck in between a rock and a minefield.

A mistrial with prejudice would be by far the biggest riot-inducing outcome.

Edit: Scratch that, a JNOV would be even bigger. As a proponent of chaos, I'm hoping for that.
There will be no riots . If you haven't noticed there is no money for the leftists all got spend in 2020 . No political will either also if he goes scott free is green light for people to start shooting at rioters . If you haven't noticed for the past six months not a single politician has mentioned gun control for a reason because the riots made even the most delusional leftist to realize that the police won't protect them gun ownership has skyrocketed like never before. Look at the kyle guilty protesters most of them have face masks they know its unpopular amongst the plebs and they know they get yeeted out of their communities if found out .

I am betting on it.

There's nothing scarier to me than the idea of justice or 'justice' being served without observation. Where proceedings can take place without intervention or impartial witnesses not only on the stand but also in the audience. That allows all kind of bullshit to occur.

I just hope he has decent legal insurance. Although many a lawyer might want to ingraceiate himself with him. He has juicy defamation suits lined up. He could even sue Großkreutz for Ptsd and shit.
Every state is different, but for those with "castle"/SYD laws, there's immunity to civil suits & such if it's deemed lawful self-defense. But it only works with a full acquittal, iirc. Anything else and he's open to litigation afterwards.
