The only counter I have to that thought is that a different judge may allow in the Proud Boys diner visit and that'll allow them to paint him even further as a Neo-Nazi.
It goes back to the same judge, so that won't happen. It's be stupid to try and bring these same charges again.

it means they have seen the video from every angle from both sides of the case 40+ times now and probably have it etched into their retinas.
Have they? I think they would have only seen the drone footage a couple times from the jury box.

What do you guys make of the jury not asking to review any of the video the first day?
I'm not sure we know that. They asked for 11 additional copies of the instructions meaning they already had one copy. I was under the impression they had the evidence in there with them already.

Can I point out, again to toot my own horn, -none- of Riketa's cast caught that. Yet I, some fucking nobody from bumfuck Wisconsin whose job is only tangentially related to law, spot that and called it out when it happened.

How the fuck did the actual lawyers miss that until yesterday!?
The clerk's response to fat "if you say so" was funny so it sort of shifted focus. If she hadn't responded they might have noticed maybe?
Idk I missed it 🤷🏼‍♀️

You think there's a chance they just wanted to give their verdict in the morning so they didn't have to deal with the crowds yesterday?

The Cameron Todd Willingham case really damaged a lot of people's faith in fire science. Even though it happened decades ago and science continues to advance, the fact that that guy was executed on what was later believed by many to be flimsy or fabricated evidence really did a number on fire cases, especially in the eyes of people who are already predisposed to disbelieve forensic evidence.
A good time to remind everyone that some scientist used a polygraph to determine plants were psychic and have feelings. Just remember that next time you hear someone talk about using a lie detector.

Both sides agreed to only let the jury review evidence/testimony in front of the judge with both present.

On Rekita’s stream it’s been said a few times that the judge wants to let the jury decide the case to show that the system is still viable. If the rumor of two jurors being too afraid of the building mob are true, I wonder if that will change his belief enough that he might consider a directed verdict or mistrial with prejudice.

My understanding was that they can't review the video except when it is presented to them by the prosecution or defense during the trial. The judge wanted to let them have the evidence while deliberating, but he ended up siding with the prosecution that they shouldn't be allowed to.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long trial.

The official rumor is 2, the way they're acting, one side has a major advantage, so likely no more than 3.
Which side is the one with the advantage? My money is on innocent, but I also didnt expect Chauvin to be convicted. If it is innocent that is dragging its heels I would be surprised and lose my hope for humanity. Most likely some hipster or college educated yuppie that refuses to budge or is too afraid of the mob to stand by his principles.

Chauvin had the black swan of a BLM member infiltrating the jury and threatening to doxx all of them, we don't have that here.

I think that discussion was whether to allow them to view media coverage of the trial testimony, like PBS or CourtTV's raw, uncommentated video coverage of witness testimony. As opposed to just making them read the transcripts of testimony. I don't think it was in reference to videos submitted as evidence; I'm reasonably certain they are permitted to view anything in evidence if they wish to.
