Yeaaaah, the way I sees it trans ideation comes from two main sources: trauma and fetishism (a broader version of HSTS vs AGP) and those two categories seem to be overlapping more and more. If it wasn't for the fetishists very loudly and visibly pushing their specific agenda on the trans population at large, the folks who actually suffer some sort of body/gender dysphoria due to trauma could actually be encouraged to get the mental help that they really need rather than be pushed farther down a path of medical self harm.
