That's interesting that it's from a video game and it was a bad guy anthem if I'm reading correctly. I assumed it was a some war anthem from the 1800s or something lol

As far as I know it's an entirely bespoke creation for Farcry 5, in use by the "Evil religious cult" who are a very unflattering representation of the Branch Dravidians. I could be wrong, perhaps it's based on a previous song.

That's something I've heard and seen too. It was definitely present, and the IRA were a very mixed bag. I would assume that the American volunteers had brought some of the Provos to the USA with them. White nationalism was absolutely present in the UK among Irish Catholics at the time, I have distinct memories of that. I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with McVeigh since that's a distinctly Ulster-Irish name too, as are a lot of Mc names.

I got banned from the Joe Biden thread for describing how, exactly, the USA will eventually adapt to Britain's strategy for Northern Ireland. That's exactly how it goes, they act like I'm exceptional because I'm not American, then bitch at me for fedposting.
america is a vast landmass with little "american" identity like the irish have. English is the linga franca, there is no other language that's been oppressed for anyone to revive. It's not going to happen. look at this trial. very few people are going to get sectarian over a guilty/not guilty. every city will have some combatants but that's it.
