Yes, a mistrial simply means the entire trial would have to be re-done. It's a massive amount of stress on everyone involved, especially Kyle, who probably just wants to know if he's going to spend the rest of his life in prison or not. Innocent is what you should be hoping for if you support Kyle, but if he's found guilty then Kyle supporters should hope for a mistrial so he gets another chance.
