lmao at this piece where the AP tiptoes into informing their outraged readers that it's totally okay for a liberal judge to lean towards the defendant but still throws around lots of unsourced claims from "observers" (aka media Twitter) about THE OPTICS and SOCIETIAL TENSIONS so they don't feel too bad:

I'm starting to think we may need to do something about education in this country.
We've been needing to do something about it since the sixties.

I don't personally like the judge myself. But this nonsense about him, having been on the bench for at least 50 years given his statements, being unqualified or dumb is insulting.

Tax.

We are entering a new dark age. That last bit, regardless of your opinion, is a ghastly omen. That anyone could be so stupid as to think any right is plural and not individual. Its terrifying.

After actually reading the main literature of CRT, thanks to all this controversy, I'm not sure it should be taught in law school as it has nothing to do with the law. Actually, let me take that back, because more than that it explicitly rejects the idea that there should be law at all. Its main authors are all law professors who write (mostly fictional) stories for their "research" and spend the rest of their time calling their colleagues malicious racists.

Any "theory" that posits that all legislation exists to "uphold white supremacy", that the only reason that the Civil Rights Act was passed was "because it benefited white people", or that modern society, with its' incessant contortions to satisfy joggers and guilt-fetish of AWFLs should be discarded even faster than the opinions of communists.
