The whole "Let's chase down jurors to interview them later, we promise it's not intimidation I swear" wasn't ever taught to me. But there is a huge difference between broadcast journalism and dead tree reporting. Forgive the flex.
Also this individual seems the classic diversity hire who fails her way up the corporate ladder, while chasing meaningless awards.

I'll be curious to see if this "Jim Morrison" figure is an actual MSNBC employee or just some stringer/freelancer for hire from the Greater Chicago area. For all the screeching we do about corporate media, all the broadcast outlets and journalism rags are hurting for ad money and have gone cheap for almost two decades now, outsourcing their news coverage to randoms whose name they have on a Rolodex rather than sending out actual staff to cover a story (paying for airfare, hotel rooms, food, rental cars, etc).
So it's no surprise that the professional integrity of these people are rather lax.
