Oh no, a guy making a free comic for 4 years devotes 5 comics to his monetization scheme.
What a sellout.
Being among the first is part of the appeal. The fact that people get angry over it (as they do over twitch thots licking microphones or bathwater), helps because then people can't stop talking about it emotionally and this just helps reach more people.
It also reminds me of the wu tang clan album where they just produced one copy and auctioned it off. It used to be in an area where you couldn't bring recording devices so people could listen to it but not copy it. It makes money by selling to richer folks, which makes poorfags seethe even harder.
My prediction is that this might make him around 100.000$
