Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty of all charges related to his killing two unarmed men and shooting an armed man during a protest in Wisconsin.

The judge made the right decision in acquitting him. The first person he shot shouldn't have been up in his face threatening him and trying to intimidate him. The second person - who tried to hit him in the head with a skateboard - brought it on his self too.
so yeah, self defense for immediate danger to life and limb, I support gun rights for that. Especially as a woman. Guns save women's lives. Guns level the field for women who are generally smaller in size than men.

The lesson here though is really not about self defense. It's a message for parents: don't let your children go out in society with a gun before the age of 20 without your supervision. By legal standards he was an "adult". By Torah standards, 19 is still a child. A child is not ready for that kind of atmosphere. They can't make the best decision around all that at that age. I would not let any of my sons go armed to a protest at 19 years old. All that boy's grief could have been avoided by his parents exercising more dominion over him.
