I know no one asked (and for all I know this kind of thing has already been posted, forgive me as I haven't been able to catch up with the entirety of this thread yet) but here's a map of where everything went down. Keep in mind that the area roughly triangulated by the courthouse, the burned car lot, and the first shooting area is pretty much where all the video footage you've seen took place. The riots were basically centralized in the park between the high school and the court house north of it, and all the action (the dumpster fires, the shootings themselves, etc.), all took place within a few blocks along Sheridan road, one of the main thorughfares through town.

As big of a win as this is, you have to wonder how this would have played out had some of the details been different.

What if the shooting wasn't so well documented on video? What if the people Kyle shot had been black or not had vile previous convictions? What if the prosecution's hadn't failed so miserably? And so on.
This was an open and shut case for Kyle and even after the prosecution was btfo day after day the media essentially lied to the public without even trying to hide it. People scream 'muh white supremacee' who haven't even seen any of the footage or followed the trial at all except for skimming the daily headlines. I'd hate to be the next guy that gets slid over that desk.
