Propaganda is hell of a drug, not even a year ago CNN/MSNBC were the media outlets I trusted and Fox News were the racist and bigoted idiots. Being only on the default reddit subs for over a decade didn't help too. I only got red-pilled when a local activist (I'm in Asia) here made a ruckus about a local paper's paragraph on CRT, penning an open letter saying how it's white supremacist rhetoric for the paper to say that CRT was anti-white.

Thing is, the article by the paper was in Chinese, so she made a very, very disingenuous translation of it, so the academics who signed her open letter probably just took her word for it since they were mostly from overseas. I read her letter and the purported white supremacist article several times and just couldn't make that connection. The folks in my local sub were of the "it's not my job to educate you", so I went to look up CRT, and was shocked at how malicious it was, and felt like shit for being gaslit by the MSM for so long.
