They apparently stole the idea from one of their few fans. I bet this person is honoured they stole the idea from 'em, meanwhile Roosterteeth makes 30 bucks selling this garbage quality t-shirts.

Instead of being loud, why can't they just adjust the sound and EQ? Oh wait, sound equipment and EQ is racist.

Off-Topic #310 Overview:

Members: Trevor, Chad, Matt, Larry, Ky.

Ky opens by making a joke about Matt being on TV before Fiona. Trevor then talks about how he got onto TV by talking about his Principal and it isn't interesting.
• Chad talks about getting ambushed by the media in Hiroshima about whether he thinks Obama should apologise for nuking them. It's mildly interesting.
• Larry then tries to talk about his own anecdote but they don't let him. Unsurprisingly, it's the most interesting story.
• Ky tries to talk about her story and they don't let her. They then let her and she brings up Donald Trump straight away.
• Trevor presses Ky for more questions and she talks about more presidential debates that happened at her university. Says it didn't help change her vote.
• Ad read for Door Dash and Trevor admits he's reading straight from his phone and thanks them for the script they've provided.

This is my first Off-Topic since it's inception and I hate how they talk over each other constantly.

• There was a joke about Matt being late. Matt argues he wasn't that late, and the look Ky gives him is the funniest thing in the universe to Trevor, who nearly passes out.
• Larry starts his story talking about how his hair colour was the same as another person. Trevor cuts off the story a second time in 2 minutes while Ky looks disappointed in him for no reason. Her facial expressions are very irritating.
• The story is incredibly uninteresting so I decided to skip it. It boils down to him spending 22 entire minutes talking about how he fucked up dyeing and cutting his hair or something.
• Ad read for Purple Mattress. He is not good at selling products. It's like being spoken to by Pepe the King Prawn.

• Larry is still talking about how he fucked up his hair. Ky is still making facial expressions and looking disinterested. This is my first exposure to her and I am very irritated.
• Chad mentions his cat was on fire last week. Turns out it was only its tail and it put the fire out immediately. This was given its own timestamp in the video.
• Ky literally leaves the set to catch a flight and doesn't return.

• They talk about how Chad's daughter gives donates money for the chat to 'match'.
• Larry makes a joke about how she would have had more money to donate if she invested in GME last Christmas.
They repeated the joke immediately afterwards.
• At this point I realise this episode is a wasteland and skim through it.
• Ad read for BetterHelp. Trevor says 'Therapy gets a bad rep' with a complete lack of awareness that it's actually BetterHelp giving therapy that kind of reputation.
• Nothing of value is said between this point and the next ad read for RoosterTeeth FIRST by shilling Dead Little Roosters and an exclusive Let's Play series that he doesn't elaborate on. Thanks me for being a FIRST member even though I'm not.
• Matt speaks for what feels like the first time. We are 70 minutes in. He is immediately cut off by Larry.

• They talk about how they always end up with less people for the GTA recording than they expect.
• Trevor gives a shout-out to the latest BK Wins and describes it as 'beautiful chaos'. This is the first time I've ever heard of a series dedicated to ensuring that people win a Let's Play competition as it's concept and I just feel sad for AH.
• They talk about an upcoming Halo let's play that involves Ky and immediately move past it.
• Trevor says Halo Infinite is 'very similar to Dark Souls' and I almost shit myself.
• Larry has an announcement and that announcement is basically nothing.
• End of the show.

Wow. I kind of feel like I decided to pick up the slack on a bad episode. It wasn't even cringe like episodes with Lindsay apparently are, it was just vapid nothingness not unlike the kind you get from overhearing a family next to you at the restaurant. I made so few bullet points because there wasn't even any body language or awful jokes cracked, especially after Ky left before the halfway point.

They did it with lindsey.
It's what they do when someone is shit at the game but they can't find anyone else to play.

I've official got to the point where I don't watch any videos they put out now.
I will put on Minecraft 500 to see what they do and she who is in the video.
I haven't watched the past three videos.

God bless you for enabling me to experience the fucking shit show of a podcast without actually having to waste my worthless time.

Chad talks about getting ambushed by the media in Hiroshima about whether he thinks Obama should apologise for nuking them. It's mildly interesting.
But did he break down in tears apologizing for dropping the sun on Japan twice?

Ky tries to talk about her story and they don't let her. They then let her and she brings up Donald Trump straight away.
How has nobody at RT been told that talking politics, regardless of which political leaning you're talking about, is entertainment cyanide? Nobody ever wants to engage in content for entertainment so they can be ambushed with your political beliefs (unless that was where the entertainment derived from). Nothing makes me tune out faster than hearing about that shit, even if I agree I did not consume for politics.

This one time, at band camp, we all got together about painted our nails, but I grabbed the wrong bottle and ended up painting a difference color that everyone else.

This is my first exposure to her and I am very irritated
Stop being racist, every time she so much as farts it's the funniest and/or most beloved moment in all of history, and disagreeing with that means you're a racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Donald Trump voting, QAnon believing bigot and you're not welcome, ~uWu

Trevor says Halo Infinite is 'very similar to Dark Souls' and I almost shit myself.
Every day, I wake up knowing that some where, some how, someone will say the stupidest fucking thing that day, and I'm always stunned at how fucking stupid it is.

When they did the "Let Lindsey win in GTA" thing it at least was kinda funny, since she is functionally retarded and it had become a long running joke just how useless she is in GTA.
And she was both in on it and actively made it harder for everyone by doing goofy stuff like purposefully driving the wrong way or slamming the brakes randomly to fuck over everyone else. With Lindsay there was always a distinct sense that I was laughing with her for her being bad at games.

This is definitely true especially in the older videos with Lindsay in them. Does anyone know if anyone at RT previously had improv training? It might explain why the newer people regularly aren't funny. It just seems like the current landscape in AH is some people trying to make things lively but the others aren't giving them anything at all because they're stuck in their own heads.

There are some pretty incredible On The Spot episodes, like the one with Gavin, Geoff, Jack and Joel that just devolved into madness and went completely non-PC. Makes me wonder if some of the older employees had the training and the newer ones didn't.

If this was because Ky is normally speaking without an inside voice or because she feels she needs to talk over people to get her point across, there could be a point to this if you wanna be generous. Instead, this was all because RT couldn’t be bothered to actually give a damn about the production.

IIRC, someone at some point mentioned doing some improv classes with other people, but I can't for the life of me remember who or when.

I'm pretty sure Trevor and Alfredo were involved, and I think Lindsay and Barbara (I seem to remember her being out of place). I may be wrong

There is a clear change in Alfredo’s performance in videos before and after he had improv classes. Earlier I pointed to the FUPA2 setup as an indicator of what people think is a funny moment but what in reality was happening was Geoff being upset at some one tanking the comedy in a video by refusing to participate. This is a great example of Alfredo before improv and not understanding the whole responding with “No.” thing.
