I can't remember where I read it but the passage of "A society exists to raise children" has also made me view it like that. A normal functioning society provides and keeps safe those that inherit the positions that are eventually vacated when people die. When a society fails to keep it's children safe from predators, from bad influences and from violence, said society will inevitable die due to no one having faith in the society keeping their kids safe and will seek shelter in other societies/cultures. How many couples do you think don't want to raise kids in the western world simply because they see how degraded the society has become, which is why they have to import help and children from the 3rd world.
