Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? So we know it's quite unlikely to be Biden or Kamala running in 2024. They'll have to bring someone else in. Even if they're certain they have no chance to win, they won't run a vegetable Biden. If he continues to deteriorate at his current rate, he'll barely be able to speak and trying to make him run would make them look pathetic and more than a bit evil. If they're sure it'll be a loss for them they could put Kamala up in order to get rid of her.

So otherwise, who's the replacement likely to be? People have suggested Corey Booker, Gavin Newsom and Jay Inslee, and possibly Liz Warren,, Buttigieg or Beto. Has there been any research on match-ups between Trump and any of these hopefuls? I figure their best hope is to bring out someone who hasn't been in the national spotlight and puff them up with favorable news coverage. Newsom and Inslee could easily be attacked for allowing their states to degenerate into lawless hellholes covered with tent camps, even before 2020. It'd be great to watch Inslee getting grilled about CHAZ during a debate.

Buttjudge is the most talented speaker/bullshitter out of everyone you named, but even he has gone sloppy in this admin ('paternity' leave during a transportation crisis with the supply chain) . Newsom was tainted enough to have had enough Democrats sign a recall petition against him, and he was saved by California's Democrat lean after making it into a 'Democrat>Republican' race, along with California's print votes from home system. He has no shot nationwide because he's too obviously corrupt and too extreme on issues like COVID lockdowns and cultural leftism.

Booker is a cringe tryhard. Inslee is mainly a 'literally who' candidate whose sctick in 2020 was 'muh climate change.' Beto has lost much of his moderate appeal from 2018 with his 2020 campaign where he went full on radical shitlib. Warren actually lost a county in Massachusetts in 2018, a year with outsized Dem turnout and where independents went mainly Dem, in a state where typically every single county goes Dem. She's too far left and too awkward.

Dems really are fucked as long as fraud is addressed, because at this rate they would need a hell of a lot more fraud to win in 2024, which they likely won't be able to do because of election integrity legislation + trained poll watchers all over + lawyers demanding that early vote gets shown first rather than the "wait until red areas are in before counting" schtick, et cetera.

WV is just an excellent display of the effects of party abandonment. Democrats still outnumber Republican there, but the majority of them vote Red. Jim Justice barely hung on to win the governorship as a Democrat. Come 2020 as a Republican, he landslides and it's hilarious.

Yes, yes it is. The Black Vote has actually been steadily moving away from the Democrats, just very, very slowly. This has actually been slowly accelerating to the point there would be serious worries about the black vote crossing the point of concern in about a decade. At about a third of the black vote disappearing, even very safe seats become completely open to assault. Even 5% moving away right -now- means the Democrats completely lose the ability to form a majority in the House.
