Georgia 'LYNCHING' citizen fatally shoots unarmed black man ... Video Emerges, Grand Jury to Convene

The fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery -- a 25-year-old black man out for a jog when he was chased and killed -- was caught on video, prompting a call for a grand jury to review the case.

Arbery's death is being referred to as a modern-day lynching, as he was unarmed when he was gunned down in Brunswick, GA on February 23 by a white citizen named Travis McMichael ... who has not been arrested or charged. He also happens to be the son of a former district attorney investigator.

As you can see in the video, Arbery was jogging when he was stopped by McMichael and his father in a white pickup truck. McMichael was armed with a shotgun. Arbery appears to attempt to run around the truck before he and McMichael start grappling.

After at least 2 shots, the men continued struggling over the gun ... until Arbery stumbles away, shot in the mid-section, and then collapses to the ground. He was later pronounced dead.

McMichael has not been charged in the shooting ... reportedly because he and his father, who was in the back of the truck, claim they were trying to make a citizen's arrest. They claim Ahmaud fit the description of a suspect in a string of recent break-ins in the area.

After the emergence of the video, D.A. Pro Tempore Tom Durden has decided the case "should be presented to the grand jury of Glynn County for consideration of criminal charges against those involved in the death of Mr. Arbery.”

Ahmaud's family says the use of deadly force was unnecessary.

Here's the statement from the district attorney who was brought in to oversee the case and decide how and whether the case should be prosecuted.

Attorney Lee Merritt, who represents Arberys mother, claims "The series of events captured in this video confirm what all the evidence indicated prior to its release— Ahmaud Arbery was pursued by three white men that targeted him solely because of his race and murdered him..."

Sure.

People have a right to liberty and freedom of movement, as well. They have a right to self defense. This being said, do I think Arbery was a thief? Yes.

But that does not matter to the facts in this trial. Additionally, what legal authority do you derive your privilege to stop and question someone? What force is authorized if they refuse your commands.

Their has to be a limiting principle or we will get crooks saying they are part of the community patrol to stop and rob people because they look suspicious.

If see a burglary in progress at your neighbors house and shoot a nigger as they are leaving with an arm full of loot, that is one thing. This was chasing someone down based on a credible past history of theft. It's crosses too many lines for me.

But
I think it could have went either way if there was no video. You cannot claim self defense if you provoke it however. The reason they omitted Arbery's past convictions is to prevent character assassination because in reality it DOESN'T matter for the case which is going off KNOWN evidence and not IRL retroactive metagaming lol. I do think he was a piece of shit so it really was a match made in heaven that they all are going down, couldn't have picked better people to sit in prison for it.

The police had spent the past 2 weeks going house to house with Arbery's picture, asking about him, because he was wanted by the police for robbery.
I wonder if a grand jury would have returned a true bill if they'd tried to take a cop's gun instead of some random redneck's...

Just something to think about. Niggers will continue to steal with impunity and they'll close down your local stores because their corporate policies set in New York and California prevent them from doing anything about it.

The decade's just started and it's already this bad; plenty of time to make the next '30s as based as the last.

The difference here is that a cop has a certain level of authority versus an average citizen. Maybe the Blue Lives Matter bootlickers will realize that the police are only there to protect corporate interests as they just randomly arrested a father son race warrior duo and their uncle by the looks of it.

>Defund the police
>The community can police itself
>Community polices itself
>Jogger takes exception
>Grabs shotgun causing the community member to fire into jogger
>Jogger ded
>POLICE HALP

They murdered that nigger thief, but how were they all convicted of 4 counts of murder?

What did that third guy get charged for? I can understand the father and son but their camera guy?
They all got the same charges. Roddy was convicted like this: Aggravated assault - as he'd been threatening Arbery with his vehicle. So felony murder on that one to go with it. False Imprisonment - as he was party to an unlawful citizens arrest without legal authority, he's part of it, and thus just as responsible. Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. This one was sort of a 'if you're going to grab them with one of these charges and can prove it was premeditated, this is extra to throw at it.' Here's the charge directly quoted.

Indictment said:
TRAVIS MCMICHAEL GREG MCMICHAEL and WILLIAM R BRYAN individually and as parties concerned in the commission of a crime with the offense of CRIMINAL ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A FELONY O.C.G.A. 16-4-1for that the said accused person in the County of Glynn and State of Georgia on or about the 23rd day of February 2020 did knowingly and intentionally attempt to commit the crime of False Imprisonment in violation of Code section 16-5-41of the Official Code of Georgia in that the said accused did perform acts which constitute a substantial step toward the commission of said crime to wit: said accused did in violation of the personal liberty of Ahmaud Arbery unlawfully chase Ahmaud Arbery through the public roadways of the Satilla Shores neighborhood in pickup trucks and did attempt to confine and detain Ahmaud Arbery without legal authority on Burford Drive using a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Chevy Silverado pickup truck contrary to the laws of said State the good order peace and dignity thereof.

Essentially it's that they very well knew they had no justification for a citizens arrest and did this anyway. I'm slightly iffy on this charge, but it makes sense to add because they didn't come up with the citizens arrest defense until later and certainly weren't doing one on the scene.

Bryan basically is the equivalent of the guy in a crime that didn't pull the trigger, but is still going to hang because he was riding with the gang. Again, I hope the judge is lighter on him, as I'm in general of the opinion felony murder charges are kind of bullshit because they can be so broadly smacked around by prosecutors.

This is my fav pic. showing him realize after the other 2 dudes were fucked and hearing a few not guilty counts on his sheet and then hearing the guilty verdicts start to roll in.

Priceless. You can see that sick look start to take over as the blood runs from his body into the pit of his stomach as he realizes he's never seeing daylight again.

Lovely to see. Big message to yo'all out there - "don't go cruising with a brudda who gonna breaka da law with a gunna."

I'm honestly surprised he didn't break down then. Again, I hope the judge takes at least a bit of pity on him in sentencing. He bares far less responsibility for the death than Travis or Greg.

He sure does have less responsibility. No doubt. However the judge is likely going to be pretty harsh on him anyways.

The message from the Judge is going to be essentially to others out there that if they even think of half going along or facilitating anything close to these sort of crimes, you are going to pay.

I think the Judge is going to fuck him quite hard. I think he's going to go away for a very very long time. 3 Decades if not life.

FACT - Past convictions are irrelevant. When the McMichaels first saw him, Arbery was doing nothing illegal and was in the process of doing nothing illegal at the time of the killing
FACT - These three idiots did not meet the standards for a citizens arrest
FACT - These three idiots are now all facing life in prision.
FACT - You are coping and seething
It's not illegal to punch a man and then try to strip him of his weapon? Well I'll be!
Also they did meet the standards of citizens arrest according to every other citizen's arrest ever made in Georgia. The Judge decided to interpret the law in the stupidest way possible.
They will get an appeal and they will win.

Yeah I mean the third guy literally wasn't even in the same vehicle. It's kind of bullshit to say that he had any DIRECT hand in the killing. Even though it happened and I understand where the posse law comes in for bank robbers and shit it still seems weird that they throw that shit around like that since the 3rd guy didn't really appear to do anything on video other than film from a vehicle lane down. If anything I feel like he should get a lighter sentence because a 4 count felony murder charge for just being acquainted with 2 people and following them to a killing is kind of insane. if anything accessory to murder and that'd be it.

Admittedly, he helped chase him and corner him, which is where the charges come in. Certainly an accessory to murder. But Felony Murder laws don't give a shit.

One problem shit for brains governor Georgia this may. Which means you can't detain, hold a niglet that will assault you. You have to wait half a hour for social worker to drive in to resolve the situation. Yet another viable law meant for self defense in state of hillbillies and nignogs
You might as well witness your mother getting raped in front of you in that shithole and you can't do Jack's shit about it.

It's rather depressing that some retards and nog lovers think that this is justified. Welcome to clown world, enjoy your stay.

Jesus Dude, you are on the Derek Caravan? Dreaming of acquittals that are not even pie in the sky but almost as unrealistic as a new religion?

The judge interpreted the law very well. You can't arrest people because you think based on "your instinct" they committed a crime. This is not the first case regarding false imprisonment by a citizen.

They didn't meet the standard AT ALL. They were so far from it, you might as well say they had a right to arrest anyone that ever went past their house or looked queer eyed at them at McDonald's.

Like you've even read ONE SINGLE CASE about a citizens arrest - and here you are claiming "...did meet the standards of citizens arrest according to every other citizen's arrest ever made in Georgia..." You haven't read a SINGLE FUCKING ONE.

Get an appeal and win? No fucking chance. None. Chances of appeal? Near zero but not absolute zero.

And once you commit a felony and an altercation takes place once you've committed a felony, claiming self-defense past that moment in time is nearly impossible.

The only case in the United States that is more of a remote appeals pipe dream than the one you have is R Kelly's case.
