Considering it takes a lot of time to plan and implement those things, they were just waiting for the excuse to do so again. Of course the whole thing screams of problem-reaction-solution from day one considering locdowns were the only given reaction and the only given solution was the vaccine. For a world, that can't figure out what side of the road to drive on or what an electric socket should look like sure gave the exact same solutions in all the countries of the world. The only difference is that they are being rolled out in varied versions, same as how modern operation systems and huge websites implement their updates unevenly so they can see the reactions and fix the bugs.

It's like policies are being made in a handful of interconnected NGOs and supranational organizations and governments just adapt them.

Comedy of politics overriding science (again) aside, the vaccine is known harmful. And that's not unacknowledged - both Pfizer and Moderna admit it themselves. How dangerous "Omicron" is (am sure he's the villain from the Transformers movies, btw) is unknown. In all probability it is less dangerous because it spreads faster and with rare exceptions that's how viruses work - they mutate to become less dangerous. So they're already planning to push out a known dangerous thing with out being able to quantify its relative risk against the alternative.

Maybe I'm wrong and this research is just precautionary and they'll decide whether to push it out later or not when better informed. But financial interest and recent history suggests otherwise.

Also grimly comic that Modern's response to the vaccine evading mutations we all said would happen is to "try vaccinating them twice" like an inept user hitting refresh on their browser to see if a problem goes away.

Bad flu is exactly what I got when I tested positive for it months ago. Really shitty flu. 39 degrees C, coughing, lots of mucus, tired, the runs in week 2 because of the amount of mucus in my gut etc. The exact sort of thing that could KO someone who was over 75. For me, nothing that a lot of rest and taking all the usual meds couldn't deal with.

My parents got it another time. They wanted to take the horse dewormer and I told them over the phone to not bother and to treat it as a very bad cold. Sure enough, 3 weeks later, they were as if they never had it. Both are heavy smokers and getting on in age, so them getting it was a panic moment. Turns out, nope. They have both gotten worse before and they were fine then.

Maybe it's anecdotal, maybe I have great genetics, but that experience, combined with the overall behaviour of people and the government really killed any lean I had towards getting it.

The gathering took place from October 25 to 29 in Amherst.
The summary offence ticket was issued today, November 17 by the inspection, compliance and enforcement division of the Department of Environment and Climate Change after an investigation. The fine amount was $2,422.
