Phils whole idea of Black Friday is literally how it’s depicted on tv and in the news. He really thinks every stored is filled with raging shoppers grabbing everything they can from the racks and throwing it in their carts. People fist fighting in Best Buy for the last copy of bugsnax traffic jams all through the parking lot as people stalemate for a parking spot.

It really just goes to show how detached he is from actual everyday life. I used to work in a huge mall in a much more urban city and sure Black Friday was busy. But really it wasn’t much different than any other weekend during the holidays. Most of the initial traffic and crowds came earlier in the morning cause most stores open at like 6am.

Now especially with online shopping being so popular unless your going out for a very specific deal on like a tv or something Black Friday isn’t even worth it.

This is noteworthy because it fits in with an all too common theme. I’m going to start calling it Phil’s World. Phil’s World is a land separate from the reality we know, where the world is populated by strawmen that Phil has created in his own head. These strawmen exist for every anecdote he talks about on his prestream. Strawmen are all hyped about specific games Phil loves, strawmen tell Phil games he doesn’t want to play aren’t worth playing, and they also praise his streams and tell him every day what an inspiration he’s been.

He did the same exact thing the previous 2 times he played San Andreas. The game does not allow you to kill Pulaski before you hear all the dialogue in the chase. This the 3rd time in less than 10 years Phil is failing the mission doing the same stupid cheats that won’t work and bitching about the game being glitched. It’s mind boggling to see someone actually be this stupid and disgustingly toxic in front of a live audience. Even his dumb ass chat audience have no idea what is going on because most of them were born less than 10 years ago.

This fucking trash gameplay and shit community at its worse. Live stream was not invented for this heinous horror that Phil puts out nearly every day for 13 years. Fuck!

Meanwhile other streamers spend hours upgrading their stream setup, and Phil just buys some walmart decorations, and brings out an ancient beanie.

Given how different he has been with Katherine, versus what he was like with Leanna, I'm highly inclined to think that his pain over the loss is a major component. He has done a lot of things out of spite over it, bitches out when confronted by footage of her during his retrospectives, and really couldn't be going more out of his way to act like PandaLee Era Phil is the exact opposite of who he really is.

I've said before as well, I think Phil enjoyed his previous prize more than he does his current LARPing tool. I'm sure it doesn't help that his serious downturn otherwise coincides with the change from Leanna to Katherine, either. We know Phil doesn't like reminders of happier times for himself.

Back in the day, it really was like that in the Northeast. I wouldn't even go anywhere because traffic was the worst. I don't miss those days.
