Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

What I am arguing is that his actions are the result of him misreading the room and pursuing bipartisanship in an environment where, while we're not brave enough to say it, bipartisanship is a dirty word.
It is only a dirty word because The Democrats don't need it. The Dems Control the House and have a tie breaker in the Senate. Instead of fucking rolling over and giving the Democrats what they want because Romney is a butthurt cuck he should be voting in line with the GOP and Making the Democrats force through every single little bit of legislation they want to jam through. Don't give them a single vote, make them put their names on everything they do.

Of course this isn't the first time Mitt pussied out when he could have beat the shit out of the DNC, in his run against Obama he fucking rolled over in the second debate after a strong first debate because "He didn't wanna be mean."

Speaking of looting and lawlessness in California: security guard dies after being shot while assisting a news crew... covering looting of a clothing store.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) – Oakland Police Department Homicide investigators are asking for help from the public finding a car that might be connected to the killing of a KRON4 security guard.

The suspect vehicle is a 2004 – 2008 Acura TL, white, 4-door, with a sunroof and no front license plate.

The security guard died from his injuries Saturday morning after being shot in an attempted armed robbery while on assignment protecting a KRON4 crew.

The victim is Kevin Nishita. He leaves behind a wife, two children and three grandchildren. Nishita worked as an armed guard for Star Protection Agency.

Prior to working as a guard, he served as a police officer at the Oakland Housing Authority, Hayward Police, San Jose Police, and the Colma Police departments.

A reward of $32,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

The KRON4 crew was covering a story on Wednesday about a recent robbery where 12 thieves wearing masks and hoods raided a clothing store on the 300 block of 14th Street.

At 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, an assailant attempted to steal KRON4’s camera equipment, according to police.

The armed guard was shot in the lower abdomen. The reporter was not physically injured.

The guard was rushed to Highland Hospital Wednesday afternoon in critical condition before undergoing surgery.

A Berkeley man standing nearby was hit by bullet shrapnel, Oakland police said. He was treated at a hospital and listed in stable condition.

Contributions from KRON4 and its parent company Nexstar Media Inc., Star Protection Agency, and the Oakland Police Department brought the total reward offered for information up to $32,500.

The money will be given to the person who provides information that leads to an arrest of the individual, or individuals involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators at (510) 238-3426.

“It’s been an extremely violent week. We are asking if you were in the area, have a business or live nearby to please check your surveillance footage as you may have captured the crime before, during, or after it occurred,” Oakland police said during a press conference held on Wednesday.

Local television stations, including KRON4, regularly use security guards when covering news stories, and Kevin Nishita honorably and bravely protected Bay Area TV reporters for years.

This morning the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office escorted his body from the hospital in Oakland with full law enforcement honors.

“We are devastated by the loss of security guard and our friend, Kevin Nishita. Our deepest sympathy goes to Kevin’s wife, his children, his family, and to all his friends and colleagues. This senseless loss of life is due to yet another violent criminal act in the Bay Area. We hope that offering a reward will help lead to the arrest of those responsible so they can face justice for this terrible tragedy,” KRON4’s Vice President and General Manager Jim Rose said in a statement.

KRON4 staff members who knew and worked with Nishita are sharing their thoughts on social media.

Not the news any of us wanted to share this morning. My heart breaks for our security guard’s family, and our entire KRON4 news family. This is so senseless. Reward now $32,500 https://t.co/Ks7uOYHthi

Bay Area police departments are also remembering Kevin.

“It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we share the news of the passing of former Officer Kevin Nishita #3740. Kevin served the San José community with pride from 2001-2012. He was a crime fighter, even in retirement,” San José Police Media Relations wrote on Twitter.

“We mourn the loss of retired police officer Kevin Nishita who honorably served our Bay Area Community. He was protecting/guarding a local news crew when he was senselessly murdered. Today, we escorted his body from the hospital with full law enforcement honors,” the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter.

Representative Eric Swalwell retweeted the tweet saying, “This is heartbreaking. Retired Officer Kevin Nishita was murdered while protecting a @kron4news crew from an armed robbery. Nishita served many police agencies, including CA-15’s @HaywardPD. May he Rest In Peace and his killer meet justice.”

Hilarious, but glad to see things are boring and normal, and normal and boring again.
It's the kind of "normal" where your shouted down if you complain about it being worse than 1 year ago. You should be greatful that Biden is not only shitting up your life but himself so compassionately and quietly. No mean tweets.

On the flipside, due to recent polling, we may be observing the largest ever recorded instance of buyer's remorse ever.

They keep taking away the moderate options as they think it only leaves one option.

It does.

Just not the one that they want.

And they need to find out exactly what that means for them before it's too late.

We're all just waiting for him to call someone a nigger at this point. Publically or in private would suffice.
he came damn close when he referred to Satchel Paige as a negro. I suspect Obama was whispering furiously into the earpiece "Remember, Joe, if you begin to let it slip it's NEGRO, not NIGGER!"

It's funny to think that 12 months ago, people all over America and all over the internet were super stoked that Trump had lost. That orinj hitler was getting cast aside. That they all gleefully declared "I don't care how bad Biden is, anyone but Trump"

But now they can't call Trump Hitler
Or blame him for mean tweets
or blame him for anything.

Nope. Everything that has happened over the last 12 months is their fault. They have blood on their hands and to be quite frank, I hope they suffer the most from their decision, as it wasn't a choice of voting for party or policy, but being children and voting on feels because they didn't like the big meanie who was forcing them to have responsibility.

Typical right-wing pouncing on a tiny 30 cent increase in iced tea.

Just drink less iced tea.
You just have to learn to live with less!

Although you're right about most people, take a look at the DailyKos comment section and prepare to claw your eyes out at the stupidity.

Looks like it's not just gonna be a California problem anymore (this is Minnesota).

Advocating for looters rights can only get you brownie points for so long. Unless the law is changed to allow businesses to hire private security who can arrest looters, ala South Africa, there are two options: the businesses will start leaving Democrat cities that allow this shit, or the DA will backwalk everything and start being hard on crime.
Been happening in the Minneapolis suburbs for awhile now. And yes, businesses have publicly announced their departures from the city due to crime. The woketards laugh while people with any sense realize what is happening. Another fun feature of the lawlessness started with Fenty Floyd are regular street racers doing donuts in the middle of downtown. At least a couple innocent bystanders have been shot or run over. There was also an incident where two cars were shooting at each other through downtown, then crashed into a bystander on a scooter, killing her.

Oh and @Overly Serious, this is a result of cash bail reform. See also the Waukesha car of peace attack where the jogger was released on $1k bail even though he had a rap sheet a mile long. Revolving door of criminals is what you get with cash bail reform.

It's so much easier being the powerless opposition as compared to the ones who call the shots. With everything that's happening in America, I genuinely wonder if the Biden administration will be capable of at least staunching the bleeding.

Probably not.

Minnedishu has always been a hot spot for crime even without the movement to defund or abolish the police. I can't imagine it's gotten more peaceful since GF.

Hold Social Media companies responsible for users' posts. She has a less extreme position than Biden but apparently does want some measures in place. Utterly unworkable and I strongly oppose.
imo it should be "no one should be banned for any platform for their beliefs" ,reminder Trump was banned not for calling for violence or breaking the site rules, he was banned because Twitter BELIEVED he DID something, without a proper investigation same as Facebook banning without any shame Conservatives and anti vax takes

they should be stick to they code of conducts and not "this guy say very politely that vaccines doesnt work, boom banned, ignore the reports that it actually doesnt do jackshit"

iirc Nullay wanted something like this but for payment processors

Could you give a source for this? Even the New York Times later concluded that the SCOTUS decision and recounts wouldn't have changed the winner.
I guess you could move it to the not based in reality section of the chart then, if you trust the Media recount. But the fact that this article was necessary means people believed the case decided the election.

My boss made a bet with me that he believes Biden is going to resign not by health problems, but by a scandal.

Specifically, a sexual harassment scandal.

If Biden continues to fuck up and the spending bill collapses at the senate, I think the democrats and elites will no longer want to see him around.
They'll never do that for a bunch of reasons, most notably the fact that health problems that they can pass off as "out of the blue" (IE heart attack or COVID) is the cleanest way to get rid of Biden without risking all sorts of questions being asked.

And a sexual harassment scandal would NEVER be something the DNC would use, on a sitting US President of their own party, because of the shit they went through protecting Clinton. They only used one on Cuomo because Cuomo was a liability and had ambitions that made him a threat to the Biden/Obama clique, combined with the fact that they had him dead to rights on it and defending it after Cuomo killed all of the elderly folks would have been suicide given how NY is at risk for flipping red.

Also, they need to at least keep Biden in office for two years and one day MINIMUM for Harris to max out at 10 years as President. And if they can rig the 2022 election, then the DNC could probably say "fuck it" and keep Biden in office for the full term AND rig his reelection purely to spite America THEN have him "die of natural causes".
