Even if the vaccines end up giving everyone the covid equivalent of AIDS, it's not an immediate death sentence, especially with treatments. I would also imagine that a motivated population has an incentive to figure out how to fix the problem we have potentially created.

A coworker of mine was told months ago that she shouldn't get the vaccine because of an autoimmune disease she's had for years. Flashforward to all this mandate bullshit and she attempted to get an exemption from the same doctor who told her not to receive the vaccine, he essentially told her he wouldn't sign the exemption form because he didn't want to jeopardize his funding or "get sued". The most disgusting part about it is that he still reiterated that it would be against medical advice for them to receive it.

• Imagine it like a snake with two heads. One head is the "terminal domain" the other is the "receptor binding domain". The receptor-binding domain is the one that attaches to ACE2 receptors
• Spike protein has a form when it's just chilling and another it takes when it fuses with a cell. Same for the receptor-binding domain; it can be open or closed like a flower.
• There are three of these in the spike protein, so it can bind to three receptors at once. When this happens, it gets pulled open and our own body then cuts the spike protein's head off.
• This is important because the head is interacting with the ACE2 receptors all on its own.
• With the head removed in the trunk of the spike protein unfolds to allow a bundle of "tentacles" out. These arms grab into (spelling intentional) the cell wall and pull the virus in until the virus and cell fuse together.

On the vaccine spike proteins, there are two key differences. First:

• Two amino acids are switched. This "locks" the arms in the trunk so they can't spill out after the head gets chopped off.
• The issue with the vaccine is that we're just assuming the head-ripping part and the detached heads/locked trunk are inert. As we learn more, it may turn out this isn't the case.

Second:

sarcasm aside it really depends on your doc. mate of a mate just told me yesterday how her family doc couldn't stop himself from being snippy the whole time she only got the first shot recently and not months ago. statistically with shit docs there must be good ones, finding them is the real problem. another thing is the state of your local government, if they're retarded enough and the doc could face severe penalties for "fake" vaccinations/passes it will only make them more hesitant to do it for people they don't know.

if you just need it short term you could exploit the slow bureaucratic process by procrastinating your answer (not so much it raises any red flags, but even shit docs will usually attest you're sick with something else to get a week off at the right moment) and hand in incomplete paperwork they most likely just request again. another flu season is about to ramp up again and with the numbers making people even more retarded it could mean lockdowns and other shit which will delay things even more. by the time they figure out they still don't have all the papers "your friend" might already be out and there's no point worrying about it anymore.

regarding the one to take if you have to, _I think_ (someone correct me if I'm wrong) astrazeneca and j&j are the better option since they're not based on mrna, but seem to have their own issues. again iirc j&j tends to get shit on for it's low effectiveness (which depending your POV might be good) and at the same time needing no booster while still counting as vaxxed (unless TPTB change the terminology again).
