Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

The new episode is on Discovery Plus right now. I am 15 min in and so far they have said that Jazz's mental health issues are definitely not due to transitioning and Jazz is talking about his FUPA. Don't know if I can continue. šŸ˜“šŸ˜

Fitting title, doubt he’s only 2 bills and some change….

šŸ˜€Just finished the episode so here are some takeaways:

-We meet that LGBTQLMNOP expert from the previous page. Her name is Kryss Shane and has very strong grifter energy. She informs Jeanette that a transwoman with a large online following has been saying that Jazz is suffering mentally due to surgery. Jeanette agrees to confront this hater.

-Jazz goes to a plastic surgeon to get hole looked at. Plastic surgeon says everything looks great and no new surgeries are necessary. Later in the episode Jazz gets an internship with this surgeon. On his first day Jazz meets with a FtM transman who comes in to get her nipples tweeked.

-Jeanette, Ari, Grandma and that LGBTQLMNOP expert get together at one of those sip and sketch places and drink wine and draw a naked male model.

-Jazz posts a shirtless pic on instagram with the encouragement of Sander and Griffen. Jazz does this for accountability and is committed to losing weight. At one point in this scene one of the brothers says "cleeeeavage" and it is just wrong. I can't imagine one of my brothers ever acknowledging my cleavage. This isn't normal.

-All these people are horrible. It is sickening to watch pure evil being sold as uplifting family entertainment. 🤬😔😩

I haven't seen the episode yet and I already have crippling alcoholism.

TS Maddison; the man with the inspirational vine that went viral so long ago.

Pretty transphobic, racist and misogynistic of Jeanette to go after a beautiful black BBW queen.

Oh wait. Just another grifter exploiting Jazz for some airtime. Fake and gay.

”Dios mío, gigantes!
Someone call the national guard!

Technically, where they left the vagina chronicles is where Jazz is complaining about his urine stream going horizontal instead of vertical ("diagonal," he says) and Ting says that's very common after this surgery and Jazz -- clearly shocked -- says, "Oh, really?!?" Obviously didn't read the fine print.
More like, there wasn't any fine print for him to read.

So Jazz is going to be an intern for Dr. Gallagher …

Yet more adults hurting children like Jazz for the sweet šŸ’µšŸ’°
Holy shit.
I wouldn’t trust Jazz around my food much less a surgical operation.
Gallagher’s office is basically Mean Girls set in a plastic surgery clinic. Her employees are young, attractive and thin white women, while most of her patients appear to be dumpy FTMs getting the #yeettheteet treatment (this is Gallagher’s actual hashtag). Fat man Jaron, who has no understanding of female socialization, is in for a bad time.

I ain't never heard of something like this. Is this an Ivy League thing?
No. Certainly not for a freshman, unless it’s counting towards some ā€œcommunity service/volunteerā€ requirement.

TT Exulansic has speculated that the Jennings family has reached some sort of settlement/payout with Bowers and Ting for the failed surgeries and associated butchery. This would make sense, and Greg was making some vaguely legal noises in a clip I saw from the last season. Part of that settlement could be that they’ve agreed not to talk about what a shitshow the whole thing has turned out to be. Or maybe they won’t mention it because they don’t want to derail the troon propaganda that you get your perfect vageen and turn into a real wamman and not even a gyno can tell the diff.
I was a fan of TT exulansic for a little while but got really irritated when she started talking about things that she does not understand. Specifically she has no experience with surgery or clinical labs. She is smart but is far too committed to looking for things to condemn so she can be righteous about it. That kind of proclivity makes it impossible to seek out the truth. I am probably a minority here in getting irritated with her, but it is hard not to when you've worked in hospitals and a speech language pathologist starts lecturing about what labs surgeons should order.

Anyway.

There is absolutely no way that the surgeons agreed to operate on jazz without getting a consent form that specifically says the procedure is experimental. And it was experimental! everyone knew that. Jeannette made a big deal out of how groundbreaking and expensive it all was because they were doing a special procedure for her favorite child.

when you sign a consent form that cautions you that a drug or procedure is experimental, you are very much signing your life away. Lawsuits related to the outcome are thrown out immediately. The surgeon has to do something like leaving a piece of gauze or an instrument inside a patient for a lawsuit to proceed. There has to be some kind of conduct that is negligent in a way unrelated to the ultimate outcome of the experimental surgery.

If you are facing down something like losing a limb vs doing an experimental procedure, it might be worth doing the experimental procedure. Of course jazz was healthy and there was no reason to do this surgery, but that is ultimately on jeannette and greg for signing the paper that says "I understand all of the complications that may arise, including death" for their kid to get an amhole. I encourage people to look up examples of surgery consent forms to understand that they are extremely explicit. I am also sure that all the shit jeannette said in her facebook group about how great everything is also ruins any chance of getting compensated. Since the dad is a lawyer I am pretty sure he knows no one really wins a lawsuit, because it is a stressful nightmare and the only thing you can really get out of a malpractice suit is money. jazz can never get his dick back by going to court. his family is already rich. Suing them means admitting there is a problem, which jeannette is against on principle. That's my 2 cents on the lawsuit theory.

Oh for christ's sake.

I think it's incredibly irresponsible to say not to take anesthesia seriously. General anesthesia is a big deal.
Personally, if I had to get surgery where it was an option again, I'd just go with local instead.
