I know that Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist who feels strongly about people denying blatent scientific evidence. So, he is probably feeling heated at these troons who insist that biological differences are a social construct and trying to devalue biology and make the entire field “woke”.

Instead of the Catholic priest who thinks lesbians shouldn't be allowed to adopt kids, he has to fight the woke girl on Twitter who thinks lesbians should be forced to suck the girldick. He's removed Christianity - a religion which, by and large, kept civilisation running for a thousand years - because he didn't agree with its views on evolution and sexuality, and he's replaced it with a religion which has teachings on biology and sexuality he disagrees with, and which has effectively set up a theocracy. Even in the eighties Dawkins could mock the Church; now he can't say a word against the new Church, and if he tries, he'll get attacked by the new Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

Whatever you think about Christianity - and I can guarantee you plenty of people on this thread will have a completely opposing view to me on the subject - I'm pretty sure that if Dawkins knew what his world would end up looking like, he'd go into the first seminary he saw and not look back.

The point is, troons tend to have a lot of free time and a lot of autism which gives them the power to conquer communities.

They have a tendency to do this with a lot of communities and hobbies surrounding things like games or other niche things. They’ll take over reptile groups and post selfies with them saying trans rights, they’re attention whores in the magic community a lot of the times and they’ll force themselves int everything they can.

I can’t quote the user who quoted me, but I’d like to add that I was introduced to the series in 2009 with EoSD by a friend and thought “wow, that’s kind of a cute whimsical game”. In the following years it pretty much went down the way they described it, I wound up having to unfollow people who liked it because they’d retweet more porn involving the characters than anyone needs to see in their lifetime or they were just insufferable spergs. So many of these people are troons now, which doesn’t surprise me.

In a sense a lot of what we're seeing is the result of an overcorrection from the Mary Whitehouse/Moral Majority/New Christian Evangelicalism shit that peaked in the 80s and 90s, with stuff like the Satanic Panic and burning Harry Potter books for being witchcraft. I can't even imagine that happening now (I mean, I can imagine a Harry Potter book burning, but it's not Evangelicals throwing the books on the bonfire).

That movement in itself largely arose in response to the sexual revolution of the 1960s. Which largely emerged thanks to birth control and a response to the society of the 40s and 50s, which was itself a counterpoint to the horrors of WWII and in a sense the permissive 1920s and 30s (shut down by the Hays Code), which in turn was shrugging off WWI and especially Victorian morality, which in turn was a response to the sexual excesses of the Georgian era... and thus the pendulum swings on.
