I know that Bonnie was saying they had rent covered for January and I think this is it. However, it doesn't make any sense. If she doesn't have any jobs until 9th, that means there's 22 days of work. Her rent is 1650. That means that she has to be making $75 a day for those 22 days. From what I've seen, it's not that.

Don't discount how much of a filthy parasite infested animal Paul is in your animal calculations. The standards for health, hygiene, diet intake, etc for livestock are far higher than how he lives. If your pet was Paul and you brought him to the vet, you would get reported to the police.

Much like how we did not get to choose our parents, parents do not get to choose their biological children. Alyssa is extremely mentally ill, and we can't believe anything that she says. She's disconnected from reality and manipulative on top of that. We can only go by what we've seen. Her mom posted positive, affirming, loving messages about how proud she was of her daughter on Twitter before everything fell off a cliff a few years ago. We also suspect that her mom is paying her bills to some extent to stop her headfucked daughter from becoming homeless. There's no reason for us to believe that there was anything going on in the home that caused her schizophrenia or BPD. Are there environmental risk factors? Absolutely. Every household is a little bit dysfunctional, and not everyone ends up like this. Sometimes people just roll a really unlucky genetic dice.

A lot of lolcows do have super fucked up families, but we don't have evidence of that in this case. In fact, we've seen her telling a bunch of lies about 'abuse' at her old, cushy job that had a bunch of perks and benefits. Alyssa being the way she is represents a tragedy to her family. Imagine that thing gradually taking over your daughter's body, turning the smiling child you held and raised into a scabby, incoherent changeling. Alyssa is the exact opposite of what most parents want their kids to end up like.

Her sister being a munchie as well could lean towards troubled childhood and bad parenting, but I agree that the mom seems to be supportive to the point of enabling. Armchairing here but I’d wager more a genetic tendency towards mental illness combined with entitlement, the latter based on both sisters’ case of gibmedats (sister’s seem to be only about medical shit and whining about not getting all the munchie favorites she wants). Spoiling children and later teens with mental illness never leads anywhere good.
