XenForo has revoked our license

Don't do it in rust, whoever recommended that is a retard, autistroons will find a way to fuck shit up because they change it so often, software with commits to it yesterday doesn't build with the latest rust compiler because they mess with it that much, this is going to backfire, mozilla trannies will push some compiler update that rapes your ass and requires huge rewrites because they modified how some feature worked.
Use something more stable like golang.
Do not listen to this glownigger.
Write the new forum code in Holy C.

Null is coding forum software in Rust to replace XF?

I'm strangely excited by this news. I've deployed XenForo before and it always had these weird little issues, and the devs always seemed like giant fags. This confirms it.

Any plans to license it? Any ideas for a name? KiwiBB? :story:

With #3 I am subscribed to 0day trackers so if something compromises the version of the software we're on I will find a way to patch it out. Don't want to say much more than that.

You literally just said you're going to pirate never versions of the software from cracked Scene leaks what else is there not to say lmao

Is it better for them to bend the knee and lose one bigger customer, than to have a false flag campaign run against them and lose a lot more?

lol bruh he rents a license for forum software once a year he's not a "bigger customer" then some kid with a minecwaft fowum with him and his cousin what are you talking about?

I'm just posting to say this was the quote I saw when loading the first page:

”YOU LOST JOSHUA MOON, YOU FAILED JOSHUA MOON, YOU'RE DUMB JOSHUA MOON, YOU'RE THE DUMBEST LITIGANT EVER JOSHUA MOON, YOU'RE A FAILURE JOSHUA MOON”

Furfag thought emailing a obsolete software provider could do any harm at all, it's funny. I get this image a fat man child flailing his arms and try to hit something.

Furfags every single time

With the mentions of Null being (one of?) their biggest customers, I have to ask... Did he have a special deal with them? We might be a big forum, but the purchase page doesn't seem to imply the license cost increases based on activity, so I don't think he'd be much more important than any other customer from an economic point of view.
I'd assume they mean "big" in how many users the software serves and how much attention it gets while still holding up. there might be larger communities out there but none will surpass the autism to take down the farms by trying to find an exploit, thus making it a safe and tested choice, which in turn means good marketing (even if they can't say the name).

He said he's subscribed to 0day announcements. 0day, as in "newly-discovered software exploits," you dumb nigger. It's nothing to do with piracy, but rather watching for vulnerabilities as they're discovered.

On Rust: why would you ever choose a language where the project owners are likely to change the license specifically to engage in Pale Moon-style griefing against us?
If they tried, they wouldn't succeed. Here's the boilerplate for the MIT license that they use:
Copyright <YEAR> <COPYRIGHT HOLDER>
Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:
The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
They picked the most permissive license you could possibly give to anyone. This is stronger for free use than the GPL.

Here is a link to it in their github:
Archive in case they do try to be gay about it:

It's true that you can't "unlicense" MIT-licensed code that's already out there, but you can change the license going forward for all new contributions. Null could keep a copy of the last revision before the project switched to the "MIT_MINUS_KIWI" license, similar to what he's now being forced to do with Xenforo. But as others mentioned, Rust is still being actively developed and making breaking changes all the time, so that saved revision has a limited shelf life.

Coul anyone please summarize why Vordrak is persistently, year after year, wages a Totaler Krieg against KF and senior Jersh himself? I've skimmed over his thread and seen the jokes in other threads, but cant figure it out.
He was a gamergater who wants this part of his history removed from the Internetus?

Man I can't believe that douchebag Vordrak is still trying to fuck with the site, seems he has nothing better to do.
