According to Higuchi Kaede, ad revenue is also split between the livers and the agency. That is for Nijisanji, but I imagine Hololive is probably the same.

Nijisanji livers are not salaried employees. I would assume the same is true for Hololive, based on what Kanata said about her earnings prior to monetization. I could be wrong though.

If they're employees or not, I'm not sure. But they have talked about getting a set stipend as part of their pay. Basically a way to make sure none of them starve.

From I believe it was Aki Rosenthal's stream, it doesn't sound like very much at least in the early days. She mentions getting demonitized and saying it looks like she won't be able to afford bean sprouts for her instant ramen that month. Probably an exaggeration, but it gives you an idea that stipend is enough to not starve but not much more.

IIRC Hololive talents are salaried employees, but their base salaries are minimum wage or below minimum wage. It's mostly just to help them get through while waiting for monetization (it used to take a few months before any one was monetized) or to aid them when they are demonetized.

Rika is Mel, Gutara which means lazy or lazybones is Choco and Kson is Kson.

Edit Edit - To the folks earlier saying how Kson/Coco worked well bouncing off others in Hololive, here is a perfect solution. Just collab with Hololive roommates.

Nijisanji and Hololive talent are NOT EMPLOYEES. They may have a small salary stipulated in their contract but they are not employees.

They are contractors for an agency.

With all this talk of HoloX debuts and indie vs. Vshojo drama it's making me wonder.. Are there any promising indies whose debuts I might have missed or have debuts coming up? Ones that won't dramawhore every 2 seconds I mean.
