You'd think being CNN's prime talking head would make him the next best thing to untouchable, too. Especially since as @Gehenna has mentioned, CNN is the Cabal's prime mouthpiece. No, it wasn’t.
Artificial intelligence can now measure the negativity with precision. At my request, Forge.ai, a data analytics unit of the information company FiscalNote, combed through more than 200,000 articles — tens of millions of words — from 65 news websites (newspapers, network and cable news, political publications, news wires and more) to do a “sentiment analysis” of coverage. Using algorithms that give weight to certain adjectives based on their placement in the story, it rated the coverage Biden received in the first 11 months of 2021 and the coverage President Donald Trump got in the first 11 months of 2020.
The findings, painstakingly assembled by FiscalNote vice president Bill Frischling, confirmed my fear: My colleagues in the media are serving as accessories to the murder of democracy.
After a honeymoon of slightly positive coverage in the first three months of the year, Biden’s press for the past four months has been as bad as — and for a time worse than — the coverage Trump received for the same four months of 2020.
Think about that. In 2020, Trump presided over a worst-in-world pandemic response that caused hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths; held a superspreader event at the White House and got covid-19 himself; praised QAnon adherents; embraced violent white supremacists; waged a racist campaign against Black Lives Matter demonstrators; attempted to discredit mail-in voting; and refused to accept his defeat in a free and fair election, leading eventually to the violence of Jan. 6 and causing tens of millions to accept the “big lie,” the worst of more than 30,000 he told in office.
And yet Trump got press coverage as favorable as, or better than, Biden is getting today. Sure, Biden has had his troubles, with the delta variant, Afghanistan and inflation. But the economy is rebounding impressively, he has signed major legislation, and he has restored some measure of decency, calm and respect for democratic institutions.
We need a skeptical, independent press. But how about being partisans for democracy? The country is in an existential struggle between self-governance and an authoritarian alternative. And we in the news media, collectively, have given equal, if not slightly more favorable, treatment to the authoritarians.
Sentiment analysis ranks coverage from entirely negative (-1.0) to entirely positive (1.0), and most outlets are in a relatively tight band between -0.1 and 0.1. Overall, Biden was slightly positive or neutral for seven months, ranging from 0.02 to -0.01. That plummeted to -0.07 in August — a lower number than Trump hit in all of 2020 (or 2019) — and has been between -0.04 and -0.03 ever since. Trump never left a narrow range of -0.03 to -0.04. (The data set doesn’t go far enough back to make a comparison to Trump’s first year in office.)
Also noteworthy: Trump got roughly twice as much coverage in 2020 as Biden has received in 2021. And the coverage of Biden is noticeably more negative than the tone of news coverage overall. Predictably, Breitbart and the New York Post are among the most negative outlets, but even liberal ones such as HuffPost and Salon have been negative. (The Post was the closest to neutral, at 0.0006.)
How to explain why Biden would be treated more harshly than a president who actively subverted democracy? Perhaps journalists, pressured by Trump’s complaints about the press, pulled punches. Perhaps media outlets, after losing the readership and viewership Trump brought, think tough coverage will generate interest.
I suspect my peers across the media have fallen victim to our asymmetric politics. Biden governs under traditional norms, while Republicans run a shocking campaign to delegitimize him with one fabricated charge after another. This week, Republicans threatened a government shutdown to block Biden’s vaccine mandates, after a year of efforts to discourage vaccination. Yet, incredibly, they’re simultaneously blaming Biden for coronavirus deaths — deaths occurring almost entirely among the unvaccinated. “More people have died of covid under President Biden than did in all of 2020,” proclaimed Sen. John Barrasso (Wyo.), GOP conference chairman.
As Biden might say: C’mon, man.
Too many journalists are caught in a mindless neutrality between democracy and its saboteurs, between fact and fiction. It’s time to take a stand.

Short answer is that Cuomo is part of the Clinton sect of the DNC and they don't like Biden and the Obama sect of the DNC, which is now in power over the party. And Cuomo had dreams of becoming President and would most likely be part of a cabal/plot to get rid of Biden so they would be forced to run Cuomo in 2024. Which meant that he had to go and Obama and Biden are now flexing to get rid of those who were closest to Cuomo to make an example out of them since Obama's sect is all in on Biden staying in power as long as humanly possible
Long answer is that Cuomo got caught forcing nursing homes to take in COVID patients, even after the homes begged not, causing a huge number of elderly people to become infected and die from COVID and then cooking the books to cover up the number of people his actions killed.
And because OTHER Democrat governors did what Cuomo did (purposely killing the elderly), they needed to get rid of Cuomo but in a way that allowed them to bury what he did (to cover the asses of the other Dem Govs, several of which are up for re-election) and make the masses think that Cuomo was ALSO punished to a degree that would sate the angry mob enough to make them forget about how he killed the elderly.
So they destroyed his political career via sexual harassment charges and his brother went down too because Cuomo wasn't going to go down quietly for the sake of the Obama wing of the DNC.

New York (CNN) - CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been "terminated" by the network, "effective immediately."
The announcement came after an outside law firm was retained to review information about exactly how Cuomo aided his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, when the then-governor was accused of sexual harassment.
CNN said in a statement: "Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother's defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately."
"While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light," CNN's statement added. "Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate."
While the contours of Chris Cuomo's involvement with the governor's office were reported several months ago, the specifics were detailed in a massive document dump on Monday. The documents -- released by New York Attorney General Letitia James after an investigation into the governor -- showed that Chris Cuomo, while working as one of CNN's top anchors, was also effectively working as an unpaid aide to the governor.
The cozy and improper nature of the relationship was conveyed through text messages obtained by James' office. The texts between the anchor and several aides and allies of the governor revealed that Chris Cuomo sought to use his connections in the press to help prepare Andrew Cuomo's team as accusers started to make their stories public.
On the day his brother resigned, back in August, Chris Cuomo told viewers that "this situation is unlike anything I could have imagined."
He pointed out that he never reported on the sexual harassment scandal or tried to interfere in CNN's coverage. And he acknowledged that he "tried to be there for my brother" when the scandal erupted.
"I'm not an adviser. I'm a brother. I wasn't in control of anything. I was there to listen and offer my take," he said.
CNN management showed support for Cuomo, and "Cuomo Prime Time," often the network's highest-rated show, stayed on the air throughout the controversy.
But as "Reliable Sources" reported at the time, some CNN staffers were angry at Cuomo and his violations of journalistic norms.
The dissent only intensified after James' office released the text messages, sworn testimony and other raw materials from her investigation into the ex-governor.
When the documents were released on Monday, CNN management said the "thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits" would be reviewed "over the next several days."
Then on Tuesday evening, CNN indicated that the contents were serious enough to merit a suspension.
"When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly," the network said in a statement. "But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second."
"However," the network said, "these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation."
Cuomo initially declined to comment. He said on his radio show on Wednesday that the suspension was "embarrassing" but understandable. He also said he never wanted to "compromise any of my colleagues" and said he would respect the process.
According to Saturday's announcement, the process included an outside law firm, a fact that was not previously known.
With information in the texts and documents pointing to a serious breach of CNN standards, Cuomo was notified of his termination on Saturday.
The CNN statement on Saturday also referred to "additional information [that] has come to light" during the review of the document dump. A CNN spokesperson declined to share any further detail about the information.

I still think a lot of Andrew Cuomo's downfall was because he fully intended to run for President in 2024 and People didn't want that.
Assuming Joe wouldn't run (and recall before being elected he publicly said he was only going to do 1 term), Cuomo would have been a strong contender. With his experience and national recognition as the Anti-Trump during COVID, he had a good shot.
Before seeing how badly Kamala lacked support, I assumed she was the preference, especially if she could parlay a Joe midterm resignation or 25th into 10 years.
It now looks like she never had a chance, but it could also very much be the Democrat power brokers didn't want to run another old white guy. As liberal as Cuomo is, he's also very old school, all ties and cufflinks, which is at odds with the Buttigeig/Beto Polo Shirt crowd. They even tried to offer him US AG to get him in the Cabinet and presumably under control, but he refused.
At any rate, I assume they promised Leticia a good shot at his job and a future Cabinet position in a Harris/Other admin if she took him out, especially for a reason other than Old People Nursing Home Deaths, as that would fuck over Newsome and Whitmer, who did the same shit.

All indications are that CNN act as advisors to the Biden admin. If there is an Obama wing of the DNC, surely they are the ones who agreed to such an alliance and vice versa.
