The size and layout make me think it's a low income apartment complex. Does anyone here know if Canada has the equivalent of Section 8 housing with a sliding scale for rent? It makes sense to me with him getting government checks. In the US, government housing will determine your rent based on your income and some people pay as little as like $100/mo.

Low income housing here are mostly super compact townhouses filled with Pakis and Pajeets. It is also notoriously hard to get into them as waiting lists are years if not decades long.

My money is PPP is just renting some boomers summer cabin cause the boomer can’t use it every weekend in the winter.

I just feel bad for the boomer when he returns to their cabin in the spring and the toilet is smeared with PPPs poop.

It may be one of those "resorts" going towards Barrie etc. Kind of like a hotel, but instead of rooms they have these little cottages scattered around the bush with a large central main building that has like a restaurant and the front desk and concierge desk. There are lots of facilities like this within an hour or so of Peterborough. During winter time you can stay the whole season for fairly cheap because they are dead. In some areas the hotel/resorts have a deal with the local Social Services (welfare) to provide housing in the winter. In my (tourist dependant) area, the hotels are filled with crack heads all winter.
