I have no idea what's going on here. WV Medicaid only covers LTC (like usual) and she's blown past the 20 day Medicare limit and wouldn't be able to afford the $185 per diem co-pay after that.
She might be racking up a huge amount of medical debt. If she's still in need of treatment they are obligated to treat her regardless of whether or not she'll be able to pay once the bill comes due. Medical debt is alot easier to get out of these days and have written off so she might not even care what the debt is.
I certainly hope they are rehabilitating her to the point that they can deem her able to care for herself.
