Holocaust survivor, 86, confronts 96-year-old Nazi ‘secretary of evil’

Holocaust survivor accuses former concentration camp typist of being indirectly guilty of atrocities

An 83-year-old Holocaust survivor accused the 96-year-old former typist at a Naziconcentration camp of indirectly perpetrating atrocities, even if all she did was stamp his father’s death certificate, he told the trial court.

Josef Salomonovic testified on Tuesday and recalled his harrowing experiences at the Nazi camp. He said that Irmgard Furchner should have “trouble sleeping at night” even as the former typist has claimed that she knew nothing about what was happening at the time.

The 83-year-old survivor recalled being six years old and the trauma of losing his father at that age after being given a lethal injection to the heart at Stutthof concentration camp.

“Maybe she has trouble sleeping at night. I know I do,” he said.

Ms Furchner is accused of being an accessory to the murder of 11,412 people at the Stutthof concentration camp between 1943 and 1945.

And Mr Salomonovic was the first survivor to testify at the trial of Ms Furchner, who refused to appear at the first trial — and who was declared a fugitive before she was arrested.

“The accused is making a mockery of the judiciary with her behaviour. Apparently, she does not feel bound by the law,” Onur Özata, a lawyer representing survivors of the camp had said at the time.

Ms Furchner worked as a typist at the Stutthof concentration camp where more than 65,000 people were murdered, around 28,000 of them Jewish.

Thousands were killed in the gas chambers, others were drowned in mud, shot to death, or killed by lethal injection.

She was 18 years old when she started working as a stenographer for the camp commandant. She maintains that she knew nothing about what was happening.

However, Mr Salomonovic rejects that. He told reporters that she was indirectly guilty even if all she did was to stamp his father’s death certificate.

“It is not easy to go over all this again. It’s a moral duty. It’s not pleasant,” he told the court as he held a photograph of his father for the court to see.

In a harrowing testimony, he told the court how he survived eight concentration camps including Auschwitz, but said that Stutthof was the worst, how his mother was stripped of clothes and possessions by the Nazis and how they shaved her head.

He said: “I was classified as a parasite. Everyone who couldn’t work was a parasite. I got into the cattle wagon and of course I didn’t know we were going to Auschwitz or that this was the last time I would see my father. He kissed me.”

His father remained behind in Stutthof, where he was killed with a lethal injection to the heart, he told the court.

Mr Salomonovic recalled his mother saying, “I have two requests, can you bring my son from the men’s camp to me in the women’s camp? And then the miracle happened. And then they brought my brother too.”

He added: “The worst was the hunger and the cold.”

The trial continues.

This is the first time I heard of lethal injections to the heart. Or being drowned in mud. And how do you survive 8 different concentration camps? Those Germans sure weren't very efficient.

I'm not saying he's lying, but how many holocaust stories that turned out to be complete fantasies do we have to hear about before it is okay to question whether or not a particular one is true?

How is it that all these "Holocaust Survivors" aren't dead yet? In 2050 we'll still be hearing about this shit.

No one fucking cares. The ashes of this dead horse have officially touched the earth's core. Any deeper and they will come right back up at China.
Most of the survivors at this point would have been little kids at the time of the Holocaust. The 86 year old survivor was born in 1935, and would have been 10 years old by 1945.

As I have said before, this case is so fucked up. This lady was literally underage:

The woman worked between June of 1943 and April of 1945 as a secretary for the camp commander at the Stutthof camp, 20 miles from the Polish city of Gdansk, which was known as Danzig under German rule at the time.

And its not like after she fled to Brazil with a suitcase of melted down Jew-teeth, either:

Ms. F. had been in court as a witness in 1957, when the camp’s commander, Paul Werner Hoppe, went on trial. Mr. Hoppe was convicted of his crimes, but was released in the 1960s and died in 1974. The prosecutors did not provide details of the former camp secretary’s life after she served in Stutthof.

> be teenage girl in war-fucked Poland in 1943
> be faced with unsavory choices about how to help family
> get job using a typewriter in an office instead of a cathouse
> only be on your knees at Church to pray thanks to God
> be able to give your family a steady supply of bread and turnips
> testify after the war about the guy you worked for during the tribunals
> put it all behind you to live a normal life as best you can
> be dragged out of your hospice facility at 95 to be treated worse than a death camp commandant

How is it that the governments of the 1940, 50's, and 60's who all literally fought on battlefields against each other managed to be more kind and reasonable than the current administrations? These secretaries and janitors and gate-raisers were known for decades to the authorities, they often cooperated and testified against actual war criminals, who they were usually working for because the other choice was their family dying of starvation or shooting. They were allowed to then go on with their lives, their victimhood over - because yes, many of these people were victims, and the previous tribunals recognized this! So why drag a 95 year old woman out of her care facility to put her through a trial she might not survive?
In 2018, another ex-guard from the Stutthof camp was put on trial, but that process was eventually suspended because the accused, who died in 2019, was often too unwell to attend.
What is the point of pulling these old men and women into a courtroom for a process that terminates, literally, before a trial is even over?

This is all a show, the last desperate grasps to prop up idols of evil for people to rage at, to justify the constant abuse done under a shield of 'victimhood' because after all, there must be monsters if we are to have innocent victims.
“The court cases are also important because, beyond historical research, they help to document and clarify Nazi crimes, and because they bring the subject to the public’s attention,” said Jens-Christian Wagner, the director of the Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora concentration camps memorial.

speaking of china, kinda reminds me of any anti-japan sentiment thats only based on what they did in ww2 and not like any of the more recent shit japan does

Maybe respecting the people you fought is "toxic masculinity" or something. Now our attitude towards enemies is the same as a mother towards a child predator who just diddled her kid.

Also respect for one's defeated enemies makes no sense in the materialist worldview. They're doubly evil, both for postponing the optimal arrangement of all things, and for causing bloodshed that could have been avoided by surrendering to the right side of history immediately.

It sounds like a very effective euthanasia technique. Maybe if you're old or infirm, it's a lot cleaner than taking you out back with a shotgun. And I'm no vet, but it sounds similar to how you'd humanely put down a dog.

I'm now curious about what state her father was in before he died.

>Trot out old heeb to narrate six gorillion, but not give direct testimony of defendant's acts

Explain how this isn't a show trial.
It´s definitely just a way to induce stress on a 96 year old grandma over actions that were beyond her control.

I truly wish that Granny just tells that Elf to shove it with the 6 million Presents and to fuck off since the people responsible for Santa´s workshop had already been imprisoned/killed.

I've always thought this was ridiculous. I don't care if you're Himmler, if you're 95 what the fuck kind of harm are you even capable of at that point in your life?

In this case it's such a crazy combination, she was underage, was a secretary, and she already testified on this matter (and helped sent the camp commander to prison.)

This is all just the desperate attempts to wring out a few more (((victim))) bucks and headlines before the last of the generation dies off is all, and I find it disgusting.

Whenever some idiot blowhard SJW crows about their courage for 'fighting Nazis', I think about people like this. Almost a hundred years old, barely able to stand with a cane, completely unable to put up any struggle - assuming they even care to do so. Men and women that, when they were teens, likely had little autonomy and loyalty that lasted after the end of the war.

Where is the 'honor' in fighting some hundred year old relic? It is ridiculous, a bald attempt to steal valor and acclaim from the generation that risked their lives in the field of battle during a war. It disgusts me, just as much as if the pathetic soyboy donned a purloined uniform festooned with medals.

The time for fighting Nazis was in the 1930-40s. The time for prosecuting Nazis ended decades ago.

At this point nothing worthwhile can be accomplished by these wasteful, self-indulgent prosecutions.
