That's because Phil doesn't know what games to pick so that he can sell his claims of being the realest motherfucker on the internet. He's too lazy to do enough research, and he also knows that if he gets it wrong after putting in the work, he'll throw a temper tantrum. The only thing that exceeds Phil's entitlement when he did nothing is when he did
something and still didn't get what he wanted.
Imagine talking to another person, telling them you make $100k a year doing nothing, you own nothing, and you have $5 in your bank account.

Not that I think he is capable of truly feeling the embarrassment, but it is accurate to say that he has nothing to talk about with normies and he clearly knows it because he doesn't even lie and tell everybody on stream about going to neighborhood BBQs and shit. You notice that? He'll make up stories about all kinds of things, exaggerate stuff that actually happened (which only makes his life look empty as fuck), but we never hear that he's involved in block parties or anything. That says a lot about how much he doesn't even value the
appearance of having friends, and/or knows himself enough to not want to go down that road even with lies.
I keep seeing variations on this, and I have to ask why. His jokes were just as shitty and repetitive, he still snorted continuously, and he was just as bad at playing the game. The only thing that was funnier then was that he wasn't handheld, so his idiocy would be on full display.
It's not that he's entertaining, he's just less nauseating without the fake-ass "I'm grown up now" act. Young Phil had a harder time hiding how much he doesn't deserve to call himself "woke" than Grumpy Old Phil does, because he had way less of a filter over his stupid mouth. He wasn't "based", per se, he just hadn't been burned enough from his behavior to start making any adjustments so he could pretend to be less obnoxious than he really is at heart.
It's kind of like his over-sharing that he does significantly less of these days, it doesn't make him more tolerable necessarily, the moments where he gets brave enough to let loose, but at least there's the silver lining of him being brazen enough that ones job of drawing attention to his thoroughly rotten soul is as easy as it can get. Nobody enjoys Young Phil's humor, they just wish he would go back to it because they enjoy laughing at him set his rep back to square one every single fucking day. As it is, it takes longer than that, because his begging just doesn't catch him heat the way the n-word does.
And you can tell he knows it because he bitches WAY more about his n-word slips than being called an e-beggar.
