Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

The Followers type bother me the most. It's all of my in-laws. They say it's not a big deal that schools require masks because it won't be forever (it is forever in the mindset of a child) despite there being no discussed end points. I know actual doctors who think cloth masks stop all viruses. I know wealthy boomers who haven't left their gigantic houses and play video games all day and call people who complained about the lockdowns "idiots" . The amount of cognitive dissonance is astounding. And apparently no one has empathy anymore, it's all manufactured empathy for virtual signaling points.
Noticed the other day how Republican school districts in my city had masks optional versus liberal districts had them mandatory. Which I feel like is a microcosm of the wider problem, people will let this all carry on because it's easier than demanding other people knock it off. Also doesn't help that many people don't challenge idiots for acting like the virus is going away as it's usually cloaked in slightly vague language like "I wish everyone would get vaccinated so this could just be over" or "this'll never end until we do X", that usually requires a bit of prodding to get them to admit they think the 'end' is the virus being no more.

I finally found the official upload of that fucking corona ad I've been seeing every once and a while online that feels like something out of a robocop-esque parody of commercials. Took me a while to find it because it's got a vague/generic titleuntied to corona. Literally had to look up the title and change it to "newest" to find it lmao. Comments disabled because of course they are.

...And of course it's funded by the fucking NJ government.
EDIT FOR FURTHER CONTEXT: The version i've been getting is a shorter version that literally just ends with "just get me the covid vaccine" and doesn't say who it's from.

Asked around.

Most people are fine with jailing the unvaccinated.

There were comparisons to drunk drivers and other forms of negligence.

In eastern europe, it was common until the fall of the Great Soviet Union to be jailed for being unemployed.

You conform, or you get no pity.

Luckily same thing mostly stands also about faggots.

The worst outcome from this plandemics is that it made me totally want to kill grandma. Nobody asked me this question irl, but if someone would, I would answer emphatically: "Yes, I want to kill all the grandmas and grandpas in the world, stinky old bastards!"

It made me really callous regarding old people death. Like c'mon, that's life: you are born, you live your life, and they you die in old age, and this is the best outcome for fucks sake!

That's fucking normal, and what is not normal is to make it somehow scary and unnatural. Since when it wasn't normal for old people to die?

We achieved great reduction of infant mortality, and that's a good thing. No longer the cemeteries are full of tiny graves. To risk life of only one child to "save the grandma" is absolutely evil. And any grandma that supports this insanity deserves to die.
It's the megafatties lecturing about health that did it for me. Boomers have never had to not be the focus and been parasites forever now i can understand them not knowing better. But a 350=400lbs whale getting right up in front of you talking about health and how disgusting your choices are has made me start smoking again just so i can light up and blow smoke at them.

I don't believe them.
The Austrian government went from threatening a €7200 fine to €2000 and detainment covered by your own expenses to... this. It still sucks and this whole situation is a totalitarian nightmare in the making, but the fact that they had to reduce the penalties not once but twice and waiver imprisonment entirely shows that A) their first threat was either empty or too draconian to implement, and B) their second threat was too expensive to implement in the long-term, even when forcing the detainees to cover their own living expenses while imprisoned. I admit to not paying close enough attention to what's going on in Austria, but I do recall the government entertaining the idea of building/renovating separate detainment facilities to house the unvaccinated.

I don't even mean this as a whitepill, I just suspect that they know how unpopular these mandates they're trying to enforce are and are trying to get away with as much as they can in implementing them without scrapping them entirely. If they backtrack, then I guess I'm a copium-addicted retard.

Got my survey from work from the company coordinating our info. They do have an option to not say your status, but fuck that. I gladly marked unvaxxed.

At this point I don't care. Chances are very low they're gonna end WFH anytime soon; besides that I banked a load of cash and also am blessed to live in a mortgage-free home. Should SHTF in any major way, I always have family in a very red state in a small, all-white town that I could relocate to and be as happy as a pig in shit.

Sure looks like they're trying to make a whole new class of criminals, with the mandate for employment, tracking bank transactions over $600 while letting you basically waltz out of a store if you are carrying less than $1000 worth of goods in your bugout bag. And who do you think will make up the majority of this new criminal class?

White people who only want to provide for their families, that's who. Don't worry about the smash-n-grabs plaguing cities across the nation though. The success TPTB have had in flipping what is perceived as evil and good is astounding.

In the meantime, such is life:

Turning white people into niggers sounds like poetic justice to these people, probably. Is it still true that contrary to the media hype, actual niggers are over-represented among anti-vaxxers?

Basically, the only source of optimism in this whole mess, is that the stupidity mixed with hubris in people high in power will cause not only the economy to fail, but also any systematic oppression will fail.

They believe in tech, but it's all filled with clueless people, mixed with an occasional one that really knows his shit and is carrying others. Whatever technical solution they will try to implement: microchips, central dbs and what-not will not be infallible or unbreakable. It can't be.

They believe in obedience of their servants. However, the budding fake cards/shot squirt industry is going only to bloom, as more and more people would not want to take boosters, but at the same they would not want to make waves/lose job. I guess it's worse than outright disobedience, but it's still less poisoning in the end.

The Mass Formation Theory goes that the majority of people just "go along with it" and are heavily influenced by societal pressures. I have a lot of friends (mostly women) who will rant to me about how they hate masks but still wear them in a town with no mask mandate because they "don't want to cause trouble". A smaller percent (20% or so) are the True Believers. Covid has given them meaning in their life and purpose when there was none before. They still religiously test themselves and have conditioned their children to be fearful when they don't have a mask on. They never want to go back to normal. I know one person in this category and she told me she will wear a mask forever and last year I went to pick up a power washer from her house and her son was playing outside alone, with a mask on.

"Studies suggest that mass formation follows a general distribution:

  • 30% are brainwashed, hypnotized, indoctrinated by the group narrative
  • 40% in the middle are persuadable and may follow if no worthy alternative is perceived
  • 30% fight against the narrative."

Interesting article and video on it.

I believe the 40% is starting to swing in our favor.

Well things have gotten interesting where I am. Government has decided to try a litmus test on the population by making it so that next week onwards masks will have to be worn whenever you go outside, regardless of vaccination status. Made no comment when asked about a fine for not doing so and no comment on what they expect the backlash to be. Their own government sources tout around a 90% vax rate, so this decision has not gone down well.

On local sites, backlash appears to be very hard, even amongst those who are up to date with all their shots (unsurprising with a touted 90% vax rate, they all took it to avoid having to do this). Even the current rule, which says masks are to be worn when outside with more than two have been unenforced since police started getting stabbed or beaten up for harassing locals about 5 or so months ago.

Interesting litmus test to see how many NPCs will just follow this rule and how many will ignore it. I'm crossing fingers and hoping that the people were I am isn't completely made of NPCs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

The mask thing is the most alien thing I have ever seen. Vaccine hesitancy I can understand from a logical standpoint.

If given a choice, I would believe people would choose mask over vaccine.

It is zero risk, unless you believe that ZOG poisoned it too?

But than why not the drinking water? And the bottled water? And the food?

i mean just entertainment/mass media wise china finally toppled western media ever since covid. before they had a hard time getting their citizens to chose native vs subbed US entertainment. its why for the 2010s they had those weird china-exclusive cuts of products just so they could alter the messaging a little bit. As most media critics have said, the culture war is where people ultimately win. when you told a soviet teenager in the 80s they couldn't listen to anything besides classical music if they remained communist of course they'd chose capitalism. same with liberal ideas vs conservative in the US. if you grow up seeing blacks not acting like thugs but as a normal hardworking member of society and bigots being ostracized of course you'll learn through osmosis not to be racist.

but the last year and a half any westaboo has had fuck all to watch in china, meanwhile their own output has surpassed the US their comedies and comedians are more successful, their dramas are better, their special effects are getting there. And better than all that they're making more money than the west meaning investors come flocking. its also why they clamp down on certain things that they feel are too westernized, like softbois.

box office wise, they're beating the US 2 to 1, and the chinese money spent watching US bullshit has dropped hard. being a MCU fan in china is like being an anime fan in the 90s right now, like everyone loves one or two IPs (dragon ball/spiderman) but anything beyond that gets you weird looks.

the US has gone from the main choice for films to the alternative, the pepsi. the chinese version of mulan did way better than the US version. as much as we bitch about chinese censorship its working out great for them. Plus with how pozzed the US media has become i'm sure its only about half a decade before watching chinese made tv shows and films will end up semi-normal here. hell if you told anyone a decade ago korean films and tv shows would be something boomers and normies in the US would watch you'd probably end up on a 72 hour hold.

outside of the threat of impending economic collapse they're doing great.

except it wasn't most people, only one state actually complied. the rest either gave the government the finger or didn't allocate resources, hawaii in particular said no hard. despite pearl harbor they knew better than anyone it wasn't a real danger.

Also they have been testing for COVID in cats for a few months now. trial runs but they're definitely prepping to kill those fuckers. no tests on dogs either. Although i have a hard time believing we aren't in the last stages of covid, boosters are going down like a lead balloon approval wise, and israelis can barely tolerate discussions of a 4th shot. With midterms coming up and the chaos happening in politics both at local level and world wide, we're about 9-12 months from covid not happening, backlash is getting fierce in a lot of places, you can clamp down on euros but every poll shows another group ready to start shit in the US, the media is all but ready to move on too. covid scares are literally effecting the bottom line of every concert venue and now movie theaters as well. Its literally the main reason people aren't flocking to the theaters this quarter like they did back in 2019 according to every person asked. the entire situation is crumbling, the bailouts of every corp not only hasn't happened like was promised by the dems, inflation technically means they're all losing money. every week another problem.

TL;DR Halloween of 2022 will probably be mask free.

Sorry to interrupt your schizo postings (take your goddamn meds) but China is far from doing "great" and had a record low 12 million new births this past year and is suffering from surging food prices, up to 30% more for vegetables.

Also name me a fucking Chinese movie/tv show that is popular overseas; I can name a shitload of Japanese and Korean series that have attained cult or popular status in the west.

I hate snow. It is the bane of your back.
I'll burn more plastic if Greta can promise I can live snow free.

That said, I also hate company mandated shit.
I am not lugging my ass into Butapest(not a typo) just to grin at some big official meetup for the beer I could get at home for the travel expanses.

Current one only has 1 yearly meetup on security issues, so it is not so bad.

Restaurants were quietly saved by Orbán doing a "takeout" thing.
Some even got better income because they had so many house orders.

If you are a true believer you can microwave it to kill the rona off the food.

As someone who snowboarded 52 days this past ski season (Thank you coronavirus and absurdly generous unemployment benefits) go neck yourself you fat, disgusting incel fuck.

Here's a pro tip - instead of staying up 2 nights in a row like you've said you done perhaps you'd have a greater appreciation of nature from partaking in the 3 great fascist outdoors activities of hiking/running, mountain climbing, and skiing instead. Take it from someone who's pretty damn right wing and runs 100+ miles a month.

In other pandemic related news I got my old wine store back from years ago as a Christmas job, with the added benefit of doing it for $20 an hour for even less work than before and while being stoned on the job. There was also no bullshit about asked if I were vaccinated, and 75% of the time I can get away with leaving my neck gaiter down. Last week I was getting swamped with shifts from people who were out with covid and now I've snagged about a third of the available Christmas/NYE shifts. I wish the part time labor market was like this back during the Obama years!

Most people were fine with masks for the first month or longer.

We are nearly at the two year mark. Most people are just "done" with COVID. It's more like "if we are still wearing masks, are we going to be wearing them for the rest of our lives?" Because it's not like COVID is going to be getting "zero" any time soon.

Also, the New York Times just realized that COVID affects obese people more.

From the start of the pandemic, the coronavirus seemed to target people carrying extra pounds. Patients who were overweight or obese were more likely to develop severe Covid-19 and more likely to die.

Though these patients often have health conditions like diabetes that compound their risk, scientists have become increasingly convinced that their vulnerability has something to do with obesity itself.

Now researchers have found that the coronavirus infects both fat cells and certain immune cells within body fat, prompting a damaging defensive response in the body.

“The bottom line is, ‘Oh my god, indeed, the virus can infect fat cells directly,’” said Dr. Philipp Scherer, a scientist who studies fat cells at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, who was not involved in the research.

“Whatever happens in fat doesn’t stay in fat,” he added. “It affects the neighboring tissues as well.”

Oh yeah, did I mention that we're apparently having a significant excess mortality in Germany since around September, according to our federal bureau for statistics. And the RKI says only a third of that excess mortality in October can be explained by the Coof. They suggest that there's a large number of unreported Coofer-deaths that would explain it.
Can you post a source for this?

Where I am the news keeps being that the hospitals are SO SO full you guise, cuz Covid.

Seriously?

Hospitals can't really help you if you have the Coof, unless you need a ventilator or oxygen. It's one of those things you just have to get over or die from. Why are so many supposedly going there?

I strongly suspect fiction is being spread faster than any virus could travel.
The media says hospitals are filled to capacity but they really aren't. The emergency room in my area barely has any covid patients and I live in a pretty big area. They are using the Hospitals being over filled narrative to guilt people into getting vaccinated I believe.

PL Time

Just tested positive for the Coof last week, two week quarantine and I felt so bad I went to the ER on day 3 for severe nausea and dehydration. My oxygen was fine my Coof was controllable I just could not hold down liquid or food.

Not something you see often as a symptom but it was the only day that bothered me.

Anyways they hooked me up with some Zofran and fluids then gave me a bag of "Monoclonal Antibodies" and by gods I felt right as rain the next day.

Doctor knew I wasn't vaxed and said I can't get a vax now for 90 days since it interferes with the antibodies they gave me.

Did I get stealthed?
I highly doubt they "stealthed" you anything. Natural immunity is better than the vaccine and you would know if they jabbed you.

I've been making regular trips to our local hospital last few months for some outpatient stuff. It's busy but no busier than it's ever been. The only two differences are:

- The mass injection site is occupying a quarter of their parking lot and crowding out space
- The National Guard is out front running a weed-eater on the landscaping in full uniform

This is the sentiment with people where I am. "We wore the masks, got all the jabs and booster shots, and now we are back to wearing masks regardless of vaccination status, what the hell was the point of all the shots?".

I've been telling people that this sort of shit is never going to end until people start turning around and saying "no more". The population did it once where I am 5 months ago when the government made this retarded rule of "must wear mask outdoors if in groups of more than 2 if vaccinated or get fined" and everyone just ignored it, and got very violent with pigs who tried to enforce it on easy targets (elderly, women, grannies), to the point where it's still in law, but not enforced.

Until the majority turn around and say no, all these governments are just going to continue to push and see what they can get away with.

You know, I wonder what is the logic of the "Middle of the road" normies.

The ones that arent red pilled to resist but arent cultists to mindlessly defend it. They just...go along with it. They dislike it, sure, but not enough to do something about it. How do they justify it all in their heads? Do they think that if they keep obeying that this will evetually solve itself out? That if they obey just one more day, they wont have to do this anymore? Do they just give an apathy shrug and say "New normal, I guess, what ya can do?" and just move on like the apathetical drones they are?

I dont know, I just see so many people showing dislikement towards this, sure, but they still passively obey it. They still force their toddlers and children to wear it. Are they literally just waiting for the man on TV to give them the all clear sign (which, lets face it, will most likely never happen).

They dont even seem to hate those that dont wear masks like the cultists do, they just seem to act like nothing is happening. Its so...passively apathetic.
I am more at this point, so I can answer.

Currently, I am a junior college student who goes out mainly just for school and minimum wage work at this point. I have taken both initial vaccine doses, though am hesitant on a 3rd, not becomes of any fears about my health, but more out of just not caring.

My parents are a bit more into the COVID hysteria. While they seem to question the legitimacy of masks, they are part of the vaccinated are smart and the anti-vax are holding back normalcy mentality. They seem to brush off any issues with the vaccine, such as people still catching COVID-19, as normal and to be expected. It cannot be 100% right? They are also all in on the anti-vax believe in micro-chips and Qanon media bullshit. To them, COVID seems more like an average media Dems good, Republicans bad narrative prompted by comedians they listen to like Colbert since the 2000s. I feel it has little to do with health a good chunk of time, though they are concerned for omnicron.

Personally, I just comply to be done with it all. I want to finish up my shitty college/high school experiences this next year and leave early. I comply with it at work because I just want to build money to buy a house and take off early 2023. I just tell myself that this will all be over soon, not just in terms of COVID, but in terms of just general life as I want nothing more than to get to the next step. I guess you can say that I do not want to risk anything in finally moving out.

Honestly, I know a few people who are basically just doing things to get out at this point. A lot of them work a ton, and barely go out past school and work as they are just focused on being done with this stage of life.

I just want to finish school, collect money, and stay on good terms with my parents, so rejecting COVID rules would be a pretty major risk for me currently, so I guess I just internalize that everything will be over soon. Is this a sufficient answer?
