Also - when is PP's turn?
Most likely never. I assumed Wings leaked personally shit through dm's or on stream. Something that Paranoid Paul Burnell would avoid doing after the bank leaks.

However if it did happen it would create a fucking gold mine of content, and he would remind his audience every day for the next few months about it.

Anyone actually check to see if Phil was one of the pioneers of Let's Plays? I searched from the start of YouTube's creation until Phil's first gameplay video and it looks like people were doing it a year to two years or so before he ever started. Seems he isn't even part of the first wave let alone pioneer of it.

I believe Chris Chan did it before Phil. Chris Chan recorded himself playing Animal Crossing about eighteen years ago. So Phil pioneered fuck all.

Playstation is tournament standard. He's going to have a hard time finding people to play this game on xbox. He would probably have a better time on the Switch finding matches, but the online is even worse there.
He flat out refuses to play Ultra Street Fighter II. The Violent Kens were flat out ass raping him and the rage was just too much. Plus he always complained about lag even though Phil was constantly being shown having 1 bar connections on his end.

I know, rate me 🌈, but I wish WWE Champions would have extended maintenance and be unavailable for a day or something. It'd be pretty funny to see Phil so angry in his streams without being able to explain why because that would be admitting he actually does play the game.

Even if it doesn't, in the next few years Scopely will deem it unprofitable and switch the servers off. All of Phil's hard work, his $100k+ investment, will be gone forever at the single click of an intern's mouse.

Last night's Street Beggar stream on the tumbleweed Xbox servers was a complete disaster. I hope that our boys Jose and Goji get their hands on an Xbox, because there's nobody playing on their servers Phil would be forced to play against Goji and Jose would be crashing every single lobby (not hard because there'll literally only be one lol). Imagine the karmic justice of running away from 2 guys by playing on another console only for them to end up being the only two people you can play against.

Chris-chan's Animal Crossing video can probably be considered a proto-LP. There's also a TV show in Japan called Game Center CX, which while heavily edited with the production value of an actual TV studio, is much closer to LPs since the concept is "guy being recorded as he attempts to complete a video game". It premiered in late 2003, the same year when Chris uploaded his AC video.

I wonder if insinuating that the Japanese actually beat Phil in "pioneering" Let's Plays would stir up some more of his contempt about the Japanese/Asians. Surely he must know about it considering Phil is a refined worldly fellow that has a robust knowledge about Japanese pop culture and media?

not even HE believes it, every time it comes up he goes "well those people edit/do informative commentary so it doesn't count, I was the guy to do on-the-fly commentary ack ack ack"

Even better would be if someone hacked his Champions account and deleted it, because then he would have to just sit there and stew over it in total silence while on camera. As much fun as it is to watch him rant and rave, it's even better when you know he really wants to and CAN'T. He would get no moment of release, he couldn't even channel that anger into a tirade about something else because he knows he'll slip up if he does.

Here's the Chris Chan "Let's Play" for comparisons.

The little similarities between this and DSP's content is too good. The clown mode at 2:11 and improvised singing, menu stalling and even a midway break, rofl

Kinda looks like he recorded it by pointing a camera at a TV.

FIFY

DSP is so boring that he has to make "playing the same game as I play every week, BUT ON XBOX NOT PLAYSTATION" into a big deal
How about playing a new fucking fighting game? He calls the streams "Friday night fights" but is afraid to play anything that isn't SF2.

Phil is solely responsible for keep the console Street Fighter scene thriving. All 5-10 people playing are only playing because of him.:lunacy: Big ups to Blooper World Order for the clip.
lol. If they were to show up because of you, you'd get your shit pushed in on the reg.

Even someone as lazy as Chris-Chan put more effort in that single Animal Crossing video than Phil in most of his 13-years beggacy.

Phil is FUMING

It's not work when you enjoy it, actually have fun with your fans and make a living from it. It's like pro sports. Is wrestling a real job?

Unlike phil, who gets up to a 1930s factory steamwhistle, nurses a hangover with more gin and slides into his couch ass grooves for another 9 to 5 of shaking down dent heads.
