Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Because the Democrats are TERRIFIED of facing ANY sort of penalty or punishment for the shit they pulled trying to destroy Trump and his supporters/allies. Especially since Trump is a known grudge holder and now is fully aware of all of the people who did him and his family wrong.

Trump represents something Democrats haven't experienced since motherfucking Radical Reconstruction in terms of the big payback. And they are utterly scared fucking shitless that there will be consequences towards them doing evil in God's eyes.

I wouldn't get too excited about far-left and far-right teaming up (horseshoe theory FTW). History hasn't been kind to natural enemies working together, which is why you have ancient stories like the frog and the scorpion. As soon as "the system" is torn down, one side starts digging mass graves for the other, and the collectivists are usually the ones digging the holes. I can't recommend allying with commies on any issue that would open the door to power. If we would have ended WWII by dropping 2 extra atom bombs on Moscow and Berlin, we might not be having the social issues we're having now. Europe would be way better off.

I dunno about the end of democracy, but considering Trump's widely documented vindictive streak, it might be the end of the Democrats.

Personally I find the 'end of democracy' sobbing to be tiresome. Like that news article about how criticizing Biden was bad for our democracy. Shut the fuck up already, faggots.

I think either are about as likely as Trump being reinstated in two weeks but if you forced me to choose I'd say Purple/Red New York. Most of the blue voting power in New York is locked up in the admitted juggernaut that is New York City while California's blue voters are much more distributed through all the coastal population centers and their surrounds now.

Hard agree. New York becomes a very different place the farther north you go from NYC. Apart from the obvious (the boonies are gorgeous, meanwhile walking through Chelsea makes me wanna Minecraft myself), voting-wise, it gets red really fast. I don't have the data in front of me, but the blue/red cutoff is around Ulster/Dutchess Counties, with the only real Democrat holdouts being the upstate cities, none of which save for Buffalo could possibly carry an election on its own if even a quarter of the greater NYC area flipped red.

This is correct.

Even in the 2020 Presidential Election, once you take away NYC, Biden only won the state 51-49. It's purplish blue at best.

Oh way the way, our governor just reinstated the mask mandate again. Upstate NY is PISSED right now.
