Susan started throwing me some recommendations for podcast of the lotus eaters, and I clicked on some of them out of morbid curiosity.
Aside from the complete unexpectedness of the almighty algorithm no longer actively working against Carl, I was equally shocked to see that he's hired enough co-hosts to not even appear in 30 to 40 percent of the videos shoveled at me and that the videos he does appear in at far from dominated by him. This all goes a long way towards fixing the problems with Carl's content. It's all still basic bitch anti-sjw takes that I've seen, but the panel makes it less unbearable. Notably, none of the panel are shrieking gypsies or Warhammer racists. Carl is also visibly less obese, making the mere sight of him less repellent.

I can see this going about as well as him debating Trickie Dickie or Richard Carrier; he's always had most success when hiding behind the rhetorical tricks of being le epic troll and by being a moving target in saying whatever he thought would own da libs at that moment in time. If he actually abandons those tactics he's nailing himself down and exposing his inability to form (or at least regurgitate) and maintain a coherent and complete political philosophy. I agree. Problem is Carl, Vee, Milo and others sat around fart huffing about how important they were to Gamergate when all they did was make videos, grift and circle jerk whilst pushing the really fucking dumb "Leftists (which are poorly defined and subject to what is convenient to Carl) want to ruin Western civilization because an Armenian outrage grifter hates pixelated tits". What hurt the opposition (who were mainly journalists) was the way the outrage bait was turned against them and it severely hurt organizations like Buzzfeed, Gawker and others by publicly undermining their credibility and costing millions by severing ties with sponsors. What didn't hurt them was r/KotakuInAction circlejerking and skeptic shit. Unfortunately Carl, and others, by constantly trying to be "edgy" ended up giving validity that is was a movement of right wing sexists, by thinking that saying dumb shit "triggered" the opposition in stead of playing exactly into what the journalists wanted. He did more to damage to his favorite movement than help it.
Early gamergate and The Gamestop Short Squeeze had a lot in common. It was a group of internet autists who worked out a way to hurt a disliked group of rich douchebags and was successful in upsetting and hurting their bottom line for a while. The difference between the two is the Gamestop Short Squeeze wasn't aborted early by collasal faggots like Sargon highjacking and nosediving the whole thing on a dopamine fueled narcissism binge.
