Agreed, Amanda. I can’t stand it when people think that it is not discrimination to invalidate my identity as a civil engineer. Sure, I never studied engineering at college, and I have no qualifications, and I am still not quite sure about the difference between tensile and shear stress and why it matters, but I’ve always felt like an engineer, and I deserve rights and services because of it.

Seeing her talking about her mom just makes me feel sad, I can’t imagine how awful it is to have your daughter tell you she wants to mutilate her body.
