Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Let's see how fast McCarthy throws this guy under the bus.
Bus status: already thrown under. Not by McCarthy though.

I'm uh, no expert in House disclipline but it sounds like Pelosi told him to knock it off in an official sounding way.

-Okay so apparently what this means is that Perry isn't allowed to speak for the rest of the day, because his words have been "taken down". What a bizarre system.

Pelosi can't really be accused of throwing him under the bus because she's driving the bus.

God I hope this is true, 2022-2024 is shaping up to be amazing for us here frens.

Look at the brighter side of life.

Biden re-election poll shows dismal 22% support; Harris even worse at 12%

(article)
The numbers are cringeworthy — 22% and 12%.

That’s the support for President Biden and his VP Kamala Harris in an I&I/TIPP poll that asked who would you vote for in the 2024 election. Even if you doubt the veracity of all this polling, these are poor numbers.

The only good news for Biden, the survey adds, is “no favorite has emerged among the large field of potential challengers to run against Biden in the 2024 primaries.”

But the sinking survey results are not out of the norm. A Wall Street Journal poll out Tuesday pegged Biden’s approval rating at a dismal 41%. Rasmussen had it at 42%.

Congress, however, was at 22% in the Journal poll, but that’s another story.

“It’s undeniable. Joe Biden is hurting in the polls right now and it’s due to a number of factors,” said Erin O’Brien, associate professor of political science at UMass Boston.

Those factors, she said, include the nagging pandemic, soaring inflation, lingering doubts about Biden’s foreign policy chops after the botched pullout from Kabul and lingering legislation.

The Journal adds that with Biden flatlining in the polls, he won’t be in a position to help Democrats fighting to keep their jobs in the midterms.

This comes as Democrats hold a slim majority in the House, where the split is 221-213, and in the Senate, at 50-50, but with Harris as the tiebreaker.

Support for former President Donald Trump remains strong among those loyal to him, so that also could be reflected in the polling that shows Biden needs to rebound or it will be too late to get much done in the second half of his tenure.

Now Biden faces a new challenge.

He held a video conference Tuesday with Russia’s Vladimir Putin over Russian troops heading toward the Ukrainian border.

Just hours before the call got underway, the Associated Press reported that Ukrainian officials charged Russia was continuing to escalate the crisis by sending tanks and snipers to war-torn eastern Ukraine to “provoke return fire.”

Republicans are watching to see how Biden fares, considering how poorly his administration handled withdrawal from Afghanistan.

It’s all showing in the polls, with the Journal adding 63% of voters said the country had gone off-track, with just 27% saying the nation was on the right course. Some 61% said the economy was headed in the wrong direction.
Be sure to read carefully. These aren't approval numbers, these are "I approve and I want Biden/Harris to be re-elected and serve both their terms" numbers.

There was something on patriots.win sourced from jihadwatch.org so I take it with a giant grain of salt.

Apparently Ilhan Omar is pushing some Islamophobia bill that will affect the state department.
That's what the House is debating right now, actually. Omar wanted to do a full witchhunt against Boebert but the Congress Dem leadership said no. They decided to placate her instead by passing a bill meant to counter Islamophobia.

Those inflation numbers look a little more accurate.

Nayib is one of the most popular leaders in the world, and his approval rating has hovered at something like 90% his whole presidency despite being an almost stereotypical Latin American strongman. He's probably safe, as long as Biden doesn't invade El Salvador...

His approval rating, if anyone is curious, is probably at least in part because he's based.

I work with a guy who is an asylum seeker from El Salvador, everything he's told and shown me about the place makes it seem like hell. Though he has said some minor positive things about this guy. Salvadorian guy I work with is also fucking hillarious, when he's hungry and doesn't feel like buying a chicken or something he will go to local parks and find a duck and then just take it home and eat it. He gave me a few duck tacos he made and they were delicious.

I’m loathe to admit it... but that might actually be marginally effective. Not among any half-way reasonable people, admittedly, but amongst the ‘diversity is our strength’ types, that could legitimately help turnout.

Buuuuuut...

You only get to use that card until you win once, if this is intended to be used for a Kamala run for president. Each of these ‘first female president’ or ‘first (openly) gay president’ or the like... they lose effectiveness in turnout after they actually coming to pass. Unlike Obama, anyone running for President purely on being black will have a significantly harder time I’d say, for example.

So... sure, go ahead and try to burn one of the last cards in the deck you have. I’m sure you won’t be cursing that even if you do somehow win.

Also Omar:
Ilhan Omar has done to damage the reputation of American muzzies more than 9/11 or the Taliban or the Pulse nightclub shooting or the GOP religious cuckservatives ever could.

I can't imagine the state of American muzzies, if any that simp for Omar. A Somali bulbhead are treated as subhumans by their fellow non bulbhead muzzies outside America.
