reddit General

I'm not familiar with reddit before like 2013. Please tell me this wasn't a real thing.
Not only was it real, but Reddit's administration actually rewarded r/jailbait's top mod u/violentacrez for his "contributions" to their site.

(Yeah I know it's CNN but this is probably the single piece of good journalism they've done in their entire existence.)

Kiwifarms should go to jail!
But they didn't do anything illegal
Yeah but we should make a new law and retroactively put kiwifarms in jail!
But then reddit will be in jail too
Yeah but err good!

If you had to choose a person to run your shitty internet community. No third option.

Which one would you pick?

Option A.
A loser drooling over 15~17 year olds, but not actually having sex with them. Said loser will defend age of consent laws to his last breath and most of the time he's legally right. Morally right? No. Legally. Yes.

Option B.

A loser who actually has a sex dungeon with a kidnapped 8 year old in his attic.

Internet people would say "fuck this choice, rope them both" , Regular - normal people would choose A if they had no choice. No sane person would willingly pick B.

Never forget that Reddit Chose B.

Old Reddit used to be a Chan-Cesspool for people who wanted credit for their shitposts, for better or for worse and I for one miss it. Yes. It was degenerate and freaky, but everyone kept to their own boards for the most part. New reddit is a tranny, commie cesspool that's controlled by the privileged few. I used to consider myself a commie until I got involved with Reddit's commies who are just psychopaths operating under a united banner.

I know the Byuu thing is old news at this point, but it warms my heart seeing redditors sneed over this Farm's existence. This best part is they're fully convinced this place is nothing but a bunch of tranny hunting neo Nazis so they're unlikely to do anything other than impotently grandstand in whatever subreddit they're addicted to the most. :story:

Random schizo on Reddit who wants KF destroyed.

Does that mean Reddit will crack down harder on anything that might scare investors away?
Please don't tell me this is going to be just like what happened to Tumblr. Reddit refugees are going to spill everywhere and will ruin everything.
I wonder if all the pornography subreddits are going to get nuked, would be extremely hilarious if so.

I got recommended three subreddits I had blocked.
I got recommended three subreddits I've been banned from on old accounts. You trying to get me in trouble, Reddit?

It's interesting that they have some sort of soft quarantine feature though, since none of the subs I'm actually active on showed up in my recap.

redditors encouraging grooming in the open.

for context this is the incident the video's from

What possible incentive could a teacher have in 'coaching' a child to be trans? It makes no sense. What makes a lot more sense is that a parent doesn't understand their child (or actively terrifies them), and the child only feels safe opening up to a teacher. Glad CPS came in to investigate this maniac.

I fucking hope that these fuckers get culled with the IPO coming.

Scary

None of those things that that redditor mentioned have anything to do with wokeness. Wokeness is basically all about petty grievances over minor or non-existent issues, and thinking everyone needs to accommodate and defer to tiny minorities like black transwomen. Desegregation may have been unpopular at one time, but it didn't have anything to do with wokeness, which is a new concept. Just more historical revisionism, like how they think everyone from the past was really trans.

"destroy that contract killer's remains after he's executed so that nobody can revive him in the distant future"

Literal children. Also, I wonder how Gerald Holtorn would feel seeing his logo used for just about anything.
Lmao. The government executes Null and we just fucking clone him. The troons will never be free

God what a fucking bitch. This is why I regret getting married.
Well why the hell did you get married if you wanted to build a fucking Taco Bell in your house? :story:

Most recently, the company announced that it had raised a $700 million round in August 2021 at a valuation of more than $10 billion.
This is concrete proof that modern "valuation" concepts are complete and utter bullshit and any investor who falls for this IPO is a fucking idiot. Redditors are the least valuable users of any social media network. That valuation is insanity.

I love how one of them literally admits he just skimmed over the article but is gonna sperg about it anyway, also the fact that most assume this site is related to New Zealand because of the "Kiwi" will always make me laugh

I'd imagine they've been doing that for a while now. So I suspect not much will change immediately, and they'll attempt to continue their policy of attempting to avoid cracking down on things unless too much of an uproar is being raised, or something gets into the news negatively, or something they don't like but can't quite justify banning finally fails to jump through the necessary hoops to continue existing on reddit.

That's kind of a common point of social media. There's all kinds of degenerate shit out there that people talk about that corporate and investors really don't give much of a shit about as long as it doesn't affect the cash flow or provide too much of a headache for operations, or otherwise opens them up to legal liability.
