The irony here been that his "girlfriend" Claire teaches voice feminization and R1 resonance modulation. I mean if there's someone who would be the first to point it out he sounds like Helium Boy is "Claire".
Since we the surgery bets are still open, I will make my bet now. I think he is doing the adam apple shaving surgery aka voice feminization surgery. For several readons, a) he seems too impatient to properly train his voice, b) even if he trained he will still not sound female enough for acting, c) he wants people to think a female voice is his "real" voice. That will also explain the "month off" thing if he were to have it in January. Hard to do a stream if you have to shut your trap for two full weeks.

Roundup of the 2021 Roundup stream today. I didn't pay close attention during the stream so I might've missed some things. Olly starts off the stream very high energy, guess he's in a good mood after visiting his boyfriend.

His outfit looks okay from the waist up, it was supposed to be his outfit for Trans Pride but it showed up late. Would've been a lot better than the dress he did wear.

12:50- Addresses some of the criticism he has received in regards to how his videos don't have a concrete conclusion or takeaway message. He says he doesn't frame his videos in that way and that viewers should resist the urge to come away with one conclusion. He doesn't like it if his viewers can come away from his videos and distill what was said into one sentence, especially since he is already distilling the sources that he uses to make the video. He prefers making more open-ended videos that leave viewers with questions.

21:20- Olly attempts to beat the "the Adelaide character is based off of my mom" allegations. Claims he created the look for the character with his stylist, and that his stylist was the one that brought stuff to him. Also a bit defensive about the character not being "sexy" until his stylist came in.

26:30- Olly is trying to put on weight, which has something to do with his surgery I think? He's going to go to America for his surgery next month, and he's paying out of pocket for it. Later in the livestream hints to a lot of "medical stuff" keeping him busy in 2022, so possibly more surgeries after January too? Maybe the "medical stuff" keeping him busy next year is just the one surgery in January though.

1:21:00 Closes out the stream by saying that 2021 was the best year of his life. Claims that he was worried that coming out as trans would tank his Youtube career and end his acting career. He allegedly thought he would only make a few more youtube videos after he came out, but instead received a lot of support from his audience and is really thankful. Obviously I don't think anyone here believes that he was genuinely surprised that his Youtube career and acting career benefited from him trooning out. Flying back to America so soon after his last trip? Interesting. Not sure why he'd return to the UK for just a few weeks when he's professionally free until February, but I guess it was wrong of me to assume any sense of frugality on his part.

The bit about gaining weight makes it sound like fat transfer — like a BBL or something of that type. Sometimes patients are asked to gain weight to supply more fat for the procedure, especially as retention at the injection site tends to be incomplete. But I don't think that's an outpatient procedure for cis people. Maybe that conversation with his physician was about a different surgery (how many surgeries does he want?), or maybe just bullshit to spice up his anti-NHS crusade.

Cis person is the important part, he didn't say cis woman. I said it previously in this thread but an inguinal orchiectomy is outpatient for men with testicular cancer. NHS guidelines generally say 12 months of RLE (Real Life Experience, being out as your target gender) combined with 12 months on hormones to be considered for a referral from a gender clinic if you want your balls cut off.

He very publicly came out in January 2021 but apparently had been "out" in his personal life before that, and he started taking hormones seemingly May/June 2020, so the timeline would match for that. It would mean he wouldn't need to keep taking spironolactone/other anti-androgen (which would make his endocrinologist happy since there wouldn't be blood tests every three months to check his kidneys hadn't dissolved) and the waiting time to actually get the surgery is much shorter (given this is a routine surgery rather than a specialty amhole surgery)...

The NHS would consider that as funding his bottom surgery though (instead of a vaginoplasty which includes orchiectomy as part of the procedure), so he'd then need to go private if he later wanted an amhole put in (although he can roll that into his grift - "I was desperate to get an orchi because of hormones, and the waiting time for amhole surgery was too long for me to bare... and now the NHS is refusing to give me a pussy and is indifferent to my suffering" ). It's also a very permanent step that will massively impact his libido, so it'd be a bit surprising that Ollie might make that decision, but then people like Kevin Gibes did the same thing.

Whatever surgery he's getting though, he's not getting it in January. As of today 75% of covid cases in London are Omicron and infection rates are skyrocketing. Parts of London are starting to feel like a ghost town my partner took me to a very expensive restaurant yesterday lunchtime by London Bridge as a pre-Christmas treat and this place, which would normally be booked out solid till the end of January, was practically deserted and accepting walk ins - I'm at home instead of heading out on the town tonight because all 12 people I was supposed to be having Christmas drinks with this evening are all self isolating from catching it separately and national case rates are pushing 100k/day. Chris Whitty says all of London will have it by new year's and I've heard hospitals are already cancelling scheduled procedures. To be honest I hadn't known that surgery to help change one's voice was even a thing. But it makes sense, @TheMadPirate.

To be fair, I don't know if he's getting an orchiectomy.

All we known is that it's supposedly a surgical procedure that would be outpatient for cis people, and he's complaining about psychiatric consult.

For transition, NHS England doesn't fund:

• FFS (NHS Scotland does, but he's not in Scotland)
• Lipoplasty/body contouring (so things like Brazilian Butt Lifts, which I'm not sure you can even get here privately - BAAPS, The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, is against the procedure due to the risk of pulmonary embolism)
• Body hair removal
• Breast augmentation
• Thyroid Chondroplasty (getting your adam's apple shaved down)
• Phonosurgery (the voice thing)
• Hair transplants

because there's no evidence base for those procedures actually improving quality of life. Ollie would have to get at least two doctors to agree that he's going to an hero right NOW if he doesn't get it and then beg the Care Quality Commission for money (which they don't like giving out). Breast augmentation is the most likely to be granted, but only when you grow no breast at all.

So feasibly:

• Orchiectomy (other SRS isn't outpatient IIRC). Takes a fortnight to get to hobbling around and a full recovery takes a month, so that would mesh.
• Breast augmentation if they're comfortable agreeing after just 1.5 years on hormones that there's been no breast growth and it causes severe dysphoria (again though, cis women basically would never get this on the NHS).
• He's misrepresenting facial hair removal as surgery. NHS England will fund up to 2x8 sessions of laser hair removal/3x80 hour blocks of electrolysis or a combination of 1x8 session block of laser and 1x80 block of electrolysis (and if it hasn't worked, then you have to go private) on the basis that stubble can get trans women clocked. Cis women would essentially have to beg psychiatrists for this though, so that doesn't mesh with him complaining about psychiatric consult.
• He's getting unrelated surgery that has nothing to do with being trans
• He's not getting surgery at all, and just wants to be a poseur and then get mad at people for asking him about the surgery like how he got mad at people assuming he's on HRT when he's plainly stated he is

My theory does kinda fall apart if he's flying to America for it, but in that scenario I doubt he'd even need a letter from his psychiatrist. I guess if he's going private here he might need it for his health insurance.
