I'm personally afraid of mutation and if this last year has show us anything, taking your mask off was stupid.

All we had to do was produce a PSA that explained -How Viruses and Vaccines work, how they reproduced ,how they adapt to our attempts to wipe them out and how only by everyone being on the same page can we actually wipe a virus, like the formerly extinct in America - Measles.
I mean who could have guessed that a bunch of religious anti-vaxxers would have opened the door for something that was eradicated in this country to spread like wildfire. Then those same people used their relgiious exemption to travel around America spreading it even deeper.

Like for fuck's sake there are people who believe getting the shot made you IMMUNE to covid.

Anyway, that's a different rant for a different thread.

If everyone just wore their masks and stayed home for 6 months, then got their shots , while continuing to wear their mask and stay away from each other. We could have rung in the new year with a dead virus.

The only thing we've succeeded in doing is slowly exposing the virus to our attempts to kill it, allowing it to adapt. But tell this to any of the smoothbrained RETURN TO NORMAL crowd and it's "HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT GOVERNMENT DICK" - - Note : These are the same people who will argue the entire lifecycle of Xenomorphs and the epidemiology of imaginary viruses and how to survive the Walking Dead, but the moment a real one pops up - everyone's drooling from the mouth and doing the exact opposite of what needs to be done.
