Osaka's miles better than Tokyo IMO, Tokyo's just another overpriced city that's good for a day or two while Osaka at the very least has tons of different and yummy food

The thing I found somewhat amusing was that all of these places of what us tourists would consider 'Cultural Significance' like the Shrines and Osaka Castle, well, they all had bunches of touristy shops with them and some tourist shows, etc. And of course, plenty of shops as you hiked up Mt Inari. It was amusing all of us western tourists and the Japanese tourists and then the few in more traditional garb hiking to the top presumably for religious reasons. I had no trouble not making too much of an ass of myself, I found it fairly obvious what's for the tourists and what's for the religions or culture. And don't worry, there will be plenty of local tourists around all these places too. I'd say the trip was well worth the price, but I was there for work so I didn't end up paying a dime.

In my case it's because I refuse to take the vax and cannot find work without taking it nor am I particularly motivated to work after having to deal with covid bullshit in the workplace. I'm privileged enough to be able to survive on savings, profits from selling 3d prints/shitcoins, and unemployment while studying. I assume a lot of people are sort of in my situation where they are sick of everything and can work under the table/live on savings. Thinking about it, this does put the whole IRS 600 dollar thing into a greater context, Dems don't want people like me to slip through the cracks.

I'm fortunate enough to work for a business that is less than 100 employees (huzzah for construction labor!) so they have not said a word to anybody about the OSHA mandate, and they pay modestly enough for me to keep up with my bills and save despite the stagflation this year. It's helped me to avoid the jab this long. Besides, I probably get exposed to much worse shit on a weekly basis so my immune system is more robust than it used to be when I worked in front-line retail.
